What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Too many long complicated names to remember who was who! Too much jumping around. Too contrived

What was most disappointing about Robin Cook’s story?

Story was boring, complicated and uninteresting. If I had checked this our of the library instead of bought it I would have returned it the first day.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of George Guidall?

Narrator was good - did the best he could with the story.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Boredom

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

"Almost done and have no clue how it will end!"

What made the experience of listening to Gone Girl the most enjoyable?

This seemed slow for a short while at the beginning - but wow it picked up and is great fun and entertainment! Can;t wait to see how it ends!

Which character – as performed by Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne – was your favorite?

I usually do not like books with more then one narrator but this was done to perfection.
