"Don't get me wrong, I'm not in the habit of reading other people's mail, but it was just a piece of paper with a few lines scrawled on it, clearly meant for the apartment upstairs. It looked so innocent, but decidedly - deliciously - it was not."

    "Don't bother"
    Overall

Very disappointing. The plot never really materialized and was plagued with irrelevant observations and commentary. Couldn't even finish it.

  • Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?: An Easy Plan for Consuming Less and Living More

Peter Walsh, the bestselling author of It's All Too Much, believes that the secret to successfully losing weight is to forget about calorie counting and weekly weigh-ins. Instead, you need to focus on how, why, and where you eat. When it comes to clearing clutter (the fat in our homes), it isn't about the stuff itself, it's about the life you want to live. The same is true for losing weight: It's not about the pounds, it's about living the life you deserve in the body you want.

If you could sum up Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat? in three words, what would they be?

    It's all perspective

Have you listened to any of Peter Walsh’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I will listen to others.

    Any additional comments?

Realizing that an out of control environment plays havoc with your weight makes sense and is a great concept to work to control. I enjoyed this listen very much and am listening to it again.

Agnes Crandall's life goes awry when a dognapper invades her kitchen one night, seriously hampering her attempts to put on a wedding that she's staked her entire net worth on. Then a hero climbs through her bedroom window. His name is Shane - no last name, just Shane - and he has his own problems.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn't want it to end. Great cast of characters, twists and turns.

Helen is nearly 40, and has, for far too long, had an affair with Matthew, a high-powered, much older, attractive, married man who was once, of course, her boss. After years of being disappointed by missed dates, out-of-the-way restaurants, broken promises, and hushed phone calls, at last Helen realizes it's time to dump Matthew and get on with her life. This, of course, is the exact moment when Matthew decides to leave his wife for her.

    Laurie says: "great chick lit"

I liked the story and it had several amusing twists and turns. However, the writer did seem to be stuck on the "f" word. Nothing like being reminded that your characters have such a lack of vocabulary. I probably will avoid this author in the future.
