"Bad Narration"
Nothing ruins a good audiobook faster than a terrible narrator. I almost couldn't get through it but thankfully I did-very good book.
"Oh My I Clambered"
Tell Becca Battoe to try another career and also that the 'B' in clamber is silent!!!!!
"Excellent all the way around"
The narrators were awesome, not an annoying voice in the bunch, which can really kill the good book experience. The story and it's characters were totally engaging. Bought several more books by this author.
"Great Book, terrible narrator"
The story was awesome, characters very layered and interesting but the woman who read the Andrea part nearly made me pull the plug on this.
"So Good"
The writing is so good in this book, keeps you hanging on from beginning to end, the characters are so believable, I loved and hated them all at one point of the book or the other - just like in highschool but as good as the book was the narration by Sarah Drew really set the tone, I have since downloaded every book she's narrated, I hope Grey's Anatomy doesn't take her away from this entirely because as good as a book is if the narrating is grating and annoying I can't even get through it, then I have to turn around and buy it again in print form
"The Castaways-Excellent Read"
I loved this book and the narrator was really good as well, didn't get tired of her at all. She kept saying "Quay's" like k-ways where I come from that's said "Keys" I found myself yelling at my dashboard on the long commute home "Keys, it's Keys" but I'm not from Nantucket maybe that's how they say it there - all that aside, I really, really loved this book, great story, excellent characters - downloaded Barefoot right after. A Summer Affair was my first by this author and I didn't care for it but I'm glad I looked further and found this book
"If I Stay"
The story was good but the thing that kept me from loving this book was the language used by the main character - I found it hard to relate to a 17 year old who would use a phrase like "squalling in his bassinet" pretty sure I don't know any 17 year olds with that sophisticated a vocabulary.
