Even though the story was better than a three the narrator was so irritating it was hard to listen to to get to the end. I had to take this audible book in small bites just to get to the end. Ms. Sands don't use her again, her talents do not do your books justice.

I always listen to my books that I enjoy over and over again. I always read the In Death Series by Jd Robb over and over. This series by Ms.Harris has always been one of my favorites too. To see Sookie grow into an aware young and have several relationships with different sups,some are like able some not so like able is what makes the WHOLE series come together. The books are not meant to stand alone they are bricks in the wall of a 16 book castle that we have been give to enjoy how ever we choose. They do make a little more sense if you read them in order.

Great narrative and story and there seems to be talk of other books soon . These books are great for us who actually outgrew our comic books and graduated to books by way of audible books. Maybe a little More Main line to use an IPod. I will keep track of this author, she is promising.

I was disappointed when I first listened to this book and it was announced that it was from Audible Children. I am glad I continued to listen because it was a funny and entertaining listen. My husband hates when I read a book or listen to my IPod and I laugh out loud so I have to turn my laugh into a cough. While I was listening to this book he actually asked me if I was coming down with a cold! Also, after finishing I immediately downloaded the previous books in the series and enjoyed them as well. If you have a sense of humor this series will keep you entertained.

If you are into dark otherworld audio books, this one is for you. Unfortunately, I am not a fan. The narrator was great but the story was dark, dark, dark.

To be honest I downloaded this book because it was from the You Pick sale, and I had never read anything by the author. I will be looking for future books. Great book, very enjoyable for all the reasons you download books. I didn't want to stop listening.

I took a chance on this audiobook and loved the writing and the characterization by the narrator. When I listen to an audible.com book the narrator can make or break the experience. After I listened to this book by Chris Knopf I downloaded the rest of the available books. The books and narration by those books were also great. I would recommend listening to them in date order of publication. The development of the characters flow into the next book. If you like unusual mysteries you will love this series by Chris Knopf.

I only rated this book 3 stars because the author narrated it. Most authors do not have the talent to transfer their written work into an enjoyable listening product. It was hard to discern who was "speaking" because the narrator's inflection never changed. I don't know how they pay the narrator, but it makes a difference to the listeners. Bad reviews because of bad narrations means fewer people will purchase your audible book.

I haven't read a Sandra Brown novel in years, but the sample drew me in. I downloaded the novel and enjoyed every moment of it. The only odd note was the narrator. Even though he was good, he was a male and the main character was female. Overall a four to five star listen.
