"YES! Great Story, Sexy Narrator"
Being the third book in the series, I think I loved this book as much or maybe more than the first two. Lots of hot romance, wonderfully suspenseful action, intrigue, murder and some violence.
Hunt & Sophie's story includes the other characters from Book 1 & Book 2 making it hard to decide which series HUNK I lust, I mean like the best.
OMG, the narrator's sexy male voice... Doesn't get much better.
Buy all 3 books in this series for an exciting sexy listening adventure!
"Could not get into this book"
Perhaps it is just me but I could not get into this book. If I have rated it unfairly after listening to 2 chapters, then my bad. Don't waste a credit.
"Sooo Much Better Than 50 Shades!"
WOW!
I downloaded this book a while back and put off reading because I had become weary of the 50 Shades scenarios. The author, Sara Fawkes blew it out of the water! Who is she and why did I not know about this new series?
Well, "Anything He Wants" is a very hot sexy read but written with the intelligence missing in 50 and other copy-cats. A well developed and exciting plot packed with heart-stopping suspense, murder, kidnappings places this story way ahead of 50 and the other knock-offs. All the characters are well developed, defined, vivid, interesting and exciting. I was pleasantly surprised and now definitely hooked on the series. LOVED IT!
Also, I LOVED the way it ended...Leaving you on the edge of another suspenseful, well developed PLOT for book #2. I can hardly wait for book #2 this summer, 2013.
DEFINITELY worth a credit. You will not be disappointed. Hurry and download today!!!!!
"Touching Love Story but..."
First of all, the narrator did a wonderful job.
I loved the first half of this book. I would have given it 9 stars until the author seemed to lose her focus mid-way.
Girl meets homeless man, helps homeless man, falls in love with homeless man, homeless man moves in with girl, girl has a bully, psycho ex-boyfriend then the story falls apart. I was so disappointed.
It seemed the story climax was midway, then slid down the mountain with a crescendo, so to speak. Perhaps he story should have ended about two-thirds the way through.
There is a Poughkeepsie #2 due out this year. I am hoping the author will tie up a few dangling characters' futures and elaborate more on the 3 "brothers by choice". I will definitely purchase it.
I do recommend this book because I enjoyed the sweet love story. I admit I did cry as parts were most touching, I laughed and enjoyed the suspense. There were some sexy scenes well done.
It was a good read and worth the credit. I'm looking forward to the sequel.
"Sylvia, Please Do Not..."
Sylvia Day, Please do not write paranormal romances. Stick to contemporary Gideon Cross & the Crossfire Series!!!! You rock those books.
The narrator did a fine job.
I could not get into this book. Paranormal is not this author's forte', by any means.
As a huge Sylvia Day fan, I feel so ashamed... But this book did NADA for me.
Looking forward to Book #3 of the Crossfire Series....YEAH Sylvia!!!
"Just Couldn't..."
Being a Sylvia Day- Crossfire fan, I suppose I was expecting too much. This book did not deliver anything for me. I listened to 3 chapters and turned it off.
After reading J.R. Ward, paranormal writers must really produce something spectacular as well as smart. This book was neither. The narrator did a nice job, but other than that, save your credits for her next Crossfire installment.
"BEST Narrator, set-ups for future story-lines"
First of all, the Narrator is the best in the business!!! Jim Frangione IS the BDB!!! Once you hear his beautiful baritone voice, each and every Brother imprints into your mind and is always with you when you read/listen. I own all the audiobooks as well as the Kindle e-books.
I loved the boo, immediately falling in love with the many stories, new characters and budding relationships within this book. Being a hardcore BDB fan, and having said that, the explicit gay M on M sex was a little too much for this "meaty-irish-catholic" girl. I knew it would be such and I read at my own choice. This is just a warning to those who might be offended, which I wasn't, but even for me, it was a bit too, too.
To sum up the high recommendation to any new BDB recruit....Read all 12 books in sequential order or the stories will mean nothing to you. BDB fans read ALL the books MANY times over. I believe this book also will be a "multiple-read/listen" for BDB lovers.
Looking forward to installment 13. Must we wait a year???
"Thought this book would never end..."
The narrator did an excellent job with a very thin, weak story. The writing was adolescent, characters were somewhat developed but the author totally missed the mark on the story line.
I did not finish this book. I became weary waiting for the obvious. Vampire loves girl, girl finds out he's a vampire, girl decides she wants to be a vampire, girl decides she loves vampire... Nothing new or exciting. Don't waste a credit. Sorry to those of you who enjoyed this book.
"Love Stephanie but NO Love for 19"
Perhaps the #3 top earning author in the world has run aground with her Stephanie Plum stories. After many attempts to get through this book, finally made it to the finish line. Felt as if I had run a 10K. Redundant story lines with no new characters of interest.
Not sure I would purchase #20. I own ALL 19 and her other audio books available but may stick to her new 'Wicked' series and abandon Stephanie Plum. Sorry J.E.
"Who wrote this book???"
What was Janet Evanovich thinking when she co-wrote this book... Do not waste a credit. What a disappointment.
