"How Does She Do It?"
How does Molly Harper manage to keep the humor in each and every one of her books? Amazing! Love the humor, adore the characters, and the story line is super. And, hats off to Amanda Ronconi for an excellent narration of the story. Amanda always makes each character come to life with a different "voice." This truly adds to the story. Harper and Ronconi - what a team!
"Loved Bobby Tom"
I find it interesting that every single person in SEP???s books have their own distinct character and personality. I find this amazing as I read through the Chicago Stars series. Each person is distinctive. The reason I mention this is because for some unexplained reason I have a fondness for Bobby Tom Denton. Can???t explain it. Only know this character, over the other male characters in the series, stood out for me. I loved this book, as I have all of the Chicago Stars series, and would recommend it to anyone wanting an adorable love story full of fun, laughter and downright good entertainment.
"Does not disappoint"
There are several elements that change a story from good to excellent. 1) The reader loves and empathizes with the characters. 2) The story line is intriguing, and not predictable, thus causing the readier to want to find out what will happen next. And, if the book is an audible edition, the narration, which draws the reader deeper into the story. This book has it all and will definitely not disappoint!
"Simply enchanting"
While the enchanting story between the Major and Mrs. Ali is the focal point of the story; I found the relationship between father and son to be of equal interest. I highly recommend this wonderful title to anyone wanting a pleasant, feel good story, with an excellent narration.
"Surprised me"
I downloaded this piece for two reasons. It was free. The title was of interest to me. I was surprised when what I anticipated the piece being about turned out to be something entirely different. Was it a love story? Yes, a realistic love. Was it a rule book on marriage? No, but I found myself jotting done quotes for future reference. I truly enjoyed this audible selection and am proud to have it in my library.
"Interesting concept"
Possibly this book should be manditory reading as it gives reality to the true collatoral damage of war - those that are left behind.
"More Miranda please!"
As always, the combination of Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi leave me breathless with laughter. I never have a negative comment about this combination. However, for this one I must say, it was too short. Please, more Miranda.
"More for history than vampires"
I found the weaving of history, vampires and Honest Abe intriguing. And, vampires are as good of an excuse as any for the horrors of the civil war. However, I found the book getting more dry as it went on and only stuck with it as I love history and this book filled in some gaps in my Lincoln historical knowledge. Scott Holst was excellent as the narrator and I will look for his name on other audio books.
"Fantastic Story"
This book was recommended to me, I, in turn, recommend it to anyone that would like a good thriller. Narration was superb. The story kept me on the edge of my seat throughout and I actually shed a tear of joy at the end. Great read!
"Love the case of characters"
The ensemble case of characters in this series is delightful. Each adds to the story allowing the hilarious lines to just flow. Since vampires live forever I would love for this series to do the same.
