The 1938 classic tells the story of Mr. Popper, the small-town housepainter who dreamed of exploring Antarctic regions, and Captain Cook, the redoubtable penguin who turned Mr. Popper's world upside down.

Between the fun sound effects the narrator includes in his reading and the simplicity of the story itself, "Mr. Popper's Penguins" will be sure to brighten up the afternoon of anyone who enjoys a cute, family friendly, and comedic story.

Mikael Blomkvist, crusading journalist and publisher of the magazine Millennium, has decided to publish a story exposing an extensive sex trafficking operation between Eastern Europe and Sweden, implicating well-known and highly placed members of Swedish society, business, and government. On the eve of publication, the two reporters responsible for the story are brutally murdered.

I had seen the movie for this book and had also read the first book, but listening to this book was a wonderful experience. The narrator does an excellent job of bringing the story home. I highly reccomend this book to anybody who, like myself, enjoyed "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo."
