Vitale's Buying Trances was extremely helpful to me and my marketing and copywriting efforts.
I was surprised how much easier writing has become to me, maybe you'll reap the same benefit.

You were never born. You will never die. And the reason you've incarnated is to reveal the glory of the Divine as you and you alone can. This is the essence of the Life Visioning Process, Michael Bernard Beckwith's transformational inner technology for uniquely expressing the love, wisdom, and beauty that you are.

    "Profound"
    Overall

Been listening to this at least 20 times and I still "hear" something new every time. His book and ideas unfold over time as you grow and start to truly understand the principles.
His amazing speaking skills (free flow yet no "umms...ahs") somehow help you pay attention (hard to explain, it just does) so that helps.
Had a profound change in my life and it will probably continue to do so.
You do not need to be religious to grasp the core principles. I was agnostic/atheist but the teachings of Beckwith and a few other events made me rethink my attitude.

  • The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich

The 4 Hour Work Week explains what a lifestyle entrepreneur is and why you should want to become one. It teaches you how to "kill" your job and design a life, the 80/20 rule and how it increases productivity, how to replace your dreams with goals, and more. Listeners can lead a rich life by working only four hours a week, freeing up the rest of their time to spend it living the lives they want.

    "Great ideas, awful narration"
    Overall

I liked Tim's book a lot but the over-eager narration style was hard to swallow.
Some like this style apparently but for my money I wish Tim had read it himself or the producers should have chosen somebody less theatrical and "aggressive".
The most annoying part is when the narrator spells out URLs in full.
(go to H-t-t-p forward slash, forward slash, colon, double u, double u, double u, ..... SNORE!!)

  • All Marketers Are Liars: The Power of Telling Authentic Stories in a Low-Trust World

Every marketer tells a story. And if they do it right, we believe them. We believe that wine tastes better in a $20 glass than a $1 glass. We believe that an $80,000 Porsche Cayenne is vastly superior to a $36,000 VW Touareg, which is virtually the same car. We believe that $225 Pumas will make our feet feel better, and look cooler, than $20 no-names...and believing it makes it true.

Oscar says: "Just OK for me."
    "A must read/listen for marketers"
    Overall

This and The Purple Cow are MUST reads/listens to every serious marketer and entrepreneur.

Jon Stewart, host of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning The Daily Show, and his coterie of patriots deliver a hilarious look at American government.

Connie says: "Runs hot and cold..but when it's hot...it's hot"
    "A little Disappointing"
    Overall

As a big Jon Stewart fan I was a little disappointed. It's funny in parts but nowhere near Jon's off-the-cuff style wit he displays during his Daily Show.
I have a feeling an UNabridged version would either be funnier or at least appear to be more worth the money/credit.

  • The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin & The Way to Wealth

The Way to Wealth, originally a preface to the 1758 edition of Franklin's beloved Poor Richard's Almanack, presents a brief fable of a local wise man, Father Abraham, quoting Poor Richard to an eager crowd. In this inspiring tale, Franklin steps out of the past and shares with you his famed maxims about wealth, knowledge, virtue, and all other elements of business success.

Rusen says: "Good narration but appears incomplete"
    "Good narration but appears incomplete"
    Overall

I liked the narration (clear speech, good inflections that drew me in) and Ben Franklin's tales are, at least to me, very interesting.
However, I didn't realize that Franklin's autobiography ends suddenly with his arrival in London 1757.
He doesn't talk about his influence during the Revolution at all.
At first I thought Audible's version was faulty because after 7 hours or so, Franklin's tales all of a sudden stop and there seems to be SO MUCH left to say.
But alas, that's where the actual book ends too.
Other than that it's an interesting listen for Ben Franklin fans.

Timothy says: "Fascinating book, despite the title."
    "Good fun, good info"

    Indeed, Freakonomics is not your average economics banter but rather a creative, original, entertaining and most of all interesting book for those inquiring minds eager to see the big picture of why we do what we do;

    Rick says: "Getting Things Done"
    "Highly overrated"
    Overall

Unfortunately this audio book offered very little helpful advice beyond "get organized". Unless the reader is completely inept in regards to time management, the author's suggestions are too basic to be considered groundbreaking or even just insightful.
    Very big disappointment.
