Arabella Dempsey's dear friend Jane Austen warned her against teaching. But Miss Climpson's Select Seminary for Young Ladies seems the perfect place for Arabella to claim her independence while keeping an eye on her younger sisters nearby. Just before Christmas, she accepts a position at the quiet girls' school in Bath, expecting to face nothing more exciting than conducting the annual Christmas recital. She hardly imagines coming face to face with French aristocrats and international spies....

First, I should note that I love Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation books. Getting a chance to see inside the head of "Turnip" Fitzhugh was priceless. I loved all of the actions revolving around fruitcake. I will certainly listen to this one again.

This was a cute book and an easy listen. It isn't a book that I loved, and I doubt I would listen to it again, but it was OK.

Gunship pilot Captain Candace Bradford has worked long and hard to earn her rank and position within the male-dominated world of Air Force Special Operations. She's not about to let anything or anyone jeopardize that, let alone one sinfully tempting man who seems determined to cause her nothing but trouble. Even if she's starting to fall for him. As an elite Combat Controller, Staff Sergeant Ryan Wentworth is used to overcoming adversity in order to complete a mission.

I felt like the heroine was wimpy, unable to stand firm in her own point of view. I got the impression that the hero was going to do what he wanted regardless of what she wanted, even if the situation turned coercive. This book may be a good fit for erotica fans, but it wasn't what I wanted.

The narrator speaks too slowly, I had to increase the speed to 1.25 just to avoid going crazy.

You Slay Me is a lusty romance novel with amusing supernatural undercurrents. When courier Aisling Grey is dispatched to Paris to deliver a priceless dragon statue to a rich and eccentric female collector, she finds the intended recipient the apparent victim of a demonic ritual. And that's just the beginning of Aisling's discoveries.

    Story

In my opinion, the heroine, Aisling Gray, is terminally stupid. In the first few chapters especially, she keeps doing things that any half-sane, thinking woman would not. I also disliked the narration. Although the characterization was good, I could hear the narrator swallowing every 30 seconds.
