Andy Barber has been an assistant district attorney in his suburban Massachusetts county for more than 20 years. He is respected in his community, tenacious in the courtroom, and happy at home with his wife, Laurie, and son, Jacob. But when a shocking crime shatters their New England town, Andy is blindsided by what happens next: his 14-year-old son is charged with the murder of a fellow student.

Would you try another book from William Landay and/or Grover Gardner?

This was nothing, perhaps less than nothing. Very sorry to have spent money on this one.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Hopefully something better than this.

How could the performance have been better?

Perhaps some diversity within the storyline

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Sorry not from my point of view.

In lower Manhattan, a charnel pit of horror is uncovered: the remains of 36 people murdered and gruesomely dismembered over 130 years ago by an unknown serial killer. Just as a museum archaeologist and an enigmatic FBI agent begin to unravel the clues to the killings, a fresh spree of copy-cat murders and surgical mutilation erupts around them. Mixing science and terror in a way only they can, Preston and Child deliver a novel that's as gruesome as it is enthralling.

What did you love best about The Cabinet of Curiosities?

As always they keep you engrossed in this series. It is hard to stop reading or listening where this series is concerned.

What other book might you compare The Cabinet of Curiosities to and why?

Being relatively new to Audible I don't know of another audible book to compare this to.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Nora was finally in the rowboat because it let me know there would probably be another Pendergast story.

If you could rename The Cabinet of Curiosities, what would you call it?

I very much like the name.

    Any additional comments?

After listening to a few poor audible books, I thought perhaps acquiring audible may have been a mistake. After listening to this series, it makes me feel it was worth every penny !
