Love the horror genre but read all kinds of stuff! I'm 40 something, a wife, mom and Project Manager for a large Construction Company.

Picking up where The First Days ends, Fighting to Survive features the further zombie-killing, civilization-saving adventures of a pair of sexy, kick butt heroines and the men who love them. A hundred or so survivors of the zombie plague have found tenuous safety in the walled off center of a small Texas town. Now the hard work of survival begins - finding enough food; creating safe, weather-resistant shelter; establishing laws; and fighting off both the undead who want to eat them and the living bandits who want to rob and kill them.

If you could sum up Fighting to Survive in three words, what would they be?

    Good second book

What other book might you compare Fighting to Survive to and why?

Hard to say. I havent read any other books (other than the first of this series) that have female heroines that kick *ss.

Which character – as performed by Cassandra Campbell – was your favorite?

I liked them all but related more to the prosecutor, she was calm, level headed, reasonable, kept it together.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I listened on my commute.

    Any additional comments?

    Good entertainment.

  • 11-22-63: A Novel

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

The teen years can be challenging and even scary for parents and those involved with youth. Attitudes and behaviors of the adolescent can be unhealthy for him and for the family. However, good boundaries are the bedrock of not only better relationships, but also maturity, safety, and growth, especially for teens and their parents.

This book was surprisinglu helpful and although I didnt agree with everything I did get some things out of it. I liekd the way it explains things we kind of already know (how teens brains are wired differently and they are absorbed with "self") but I am a little bit more of a disciplinarian in the way that I would be tougher if my teen did some of the things in this book and I am not quite into telling a teen that I cannot MAKE them do something and that they have to choose and suffer the consequences (my kids are 16 and 12). Maybe as they get a little older.....

I'm a huge Michael Talbot fan (he's the main character) and have listened to all 6. Actually liked the ending of this one, it all seemed to make sense. Got my husband listening to them to and he liked it as well. Not sure if I will get the other Michael Talbot books (about his college days and when he was younger), may take a peek if there is nothing else I am interested in at the time.

I feel like she started out with great opportunities and things only got better for her. My upward climb was a lot different, I am a 44 year old woman, wife, mom and now a Project Manager for a large Construciton company. Different atmosphere.
