IM GOING TO HAVE TO SAY THE SAME THING FOR ALL THE LOVE AT STAKE BOOK IN THIS SERIES. ALL THE NARRATORS WERE REALLY GOOD. SOME BETTER THAN OTHERS BUT IT IS DEFINITLY WORTH BUYING OR USING YOUR CREDITS ON. JUST MAKE SURE YOU LISTEN THO THE BOOKS IN ORDER ACCORDING TO THE BOOK # OR THE RELEASE DATE. ONE OF THE BOOKS IS NOT PART OF THE SERIES BUT PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE. AFTER BOOK 9 YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO VAMPIRE MINE
King hall completely surprised me. Based on the description of the book I didn't think it was anything Id truly care for. vampires, werewolves, other mystical things. its the same thing I always read. What I didnt expect was to love the book. It was different from the rest in the usual para genre ( well for me anyway).I have listened to this audiobook at least minimum five different times. I read King Cave three times. And King Tomb only once.I think this is a truly a great series. Alrhough king cave and King tomb are not available on audible they were really good reads. Kingcave would really have you hooked if you didn't like King Hall.
Darynda Jones does it again. This series keeps getting better and i think the book speaks for itself.
I expected more from this book. I was slightly disapointed mostly because i thought this book was going to be a thriller not a romance novel. However, I have to admit It was entertaining. The author did a great job and for the first time in who knows how long I was able to read (listen) to a book that really kept me guessing. This is a book tht i will be listening to again.
This is a book i wasnt too sure about. I really like Julie Kagawas writing style so i figure I'd just take a chance. Ended up listing to the first few minutes and changing my mind, but once i decided to finish the first chapter it was pretty good. Actually Great. This is one of the best book ive listened to this year. Once you get into this book it will be hard to put down. I highly recommend this book, and the second book in this series is even better. I will be listening to this book again.
It has been awhile since Ive given a book FIVE stars. I read and listen to so many books that nothing really stands out any more. But this book kept my interest. The charactors and story were amazing. I will be listening to this book again in the future.
What make a book stand out for me…? I don’t like to see a book with a face on the cover. Especially romance books or Young adult books because it is easier for me to imagine the attractive character then it is to forget an unattractive face a book cover. I like a little drama, a little romance, and a little chaos with a great story and Elisa Lorello covers all that for me. Her books are realistic. You can actually apply the situation to your personal life. I have over 500 audio books and about 150 paperbacks that I have read and listen to within the past 3 years. And what I’ve noticed about all my books is that there aren’t many that stand out. When an Author writes a certain genre they have also read similar books. At times it feels like they rewrote a popular book by changing names of characters and ending it with a twist. Sometimes when I start a new book I have to stop to make sure I haven’t already read it. With Elisa Lorello I don’t have to guess. Her books stand out. This book stands out. This is a book that I would listen to again.
I got this book on sale and probably would have never looked twice at it but after I started listen to I have to admit I truly enjoyed it. The main characters were great and the author’s style of writing is very refreshing to me. It’s a nice change from what I normally listen to. This book is about an insure woman who want to learn to feel sexy in her own skin. She’s introduced to a popular male escort who teaches her to let lose. There is a lot more to this story that I can’t tell without giving everything away. I think this book was great and I would listen to it again.
I read and listen to a lot of books and usually stick to the genres that keep my personal interest. The problem with that is after so many books you really notice how similar, unoriginal, most book are. The more books I go through the harder it is for me to remember what an individual book was about, or I finding myself telling someone something funny I read and I can’t remember who said it or what book it was from. But, this book was really refreshing. Normally I would have over looked it due to the horrible cover and the just ok summary but when I finally started to listen to it I couldn’t stop. This is a book I would listen to again and I will finish the series. I just hope the second book is as good as the first.
THIS IS A GOOD READ/LISTEN. I LIKE THE CHARACTORS AND THE STORYLINE BUT I DIDNT REALLY CARE FOR THE NARRATOR. THERE ARE A LOT OF MOMENTS IN THE BOOK WHERE I COULDNT TELL WHICH CHARACTOR THE NARRATOR WAS PLAYING. ONE MOMENT THE MALE CHARACTOR HAS A DEEP VOICE AND THE NEXT SECOND IT WAS GONE. IT KIND OF ANNOYED ME
THIS STORY WAS PRETTY GOOD FOR IT TO BE THE FIRST BOOK IN A SERIES. I DIDNT KNOW IF I WOULD LIKE THE BOOK BASED ON THE FIRST 30 MINUTES BUT IT GETS BETTER AS YOU GO ALONG. THE ONLY THING THAT MIGHT BOTHER SOME PEOPLE IS THE NARRATORS VERY SLIGHT AUSTRALIAN ACCENT.
