Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either.

I read and listen to a lot of books and usually stick to the genres that keep my personal interest. The problem with that is after so many books you really notice how similar, unoriginal, most book are. The more books I go through the harder it is for me to remember what an individual book was about, or I finding myself telling someone something funny I read and I can’t remember who said it or what book it was from. But, this book was really refreshing. Normally I would have over looked it due to the horrible cover and the just ok summary but when I finally started to listen to it I couldn’t stop. This is a book I would listen to again and I will finish the series. I just hope the second book is as good as the first.

Eva Perino is single and proud of it. So proud, in fact, that she regularly boasts about it in her blog, Why I Love Singlehood. But upon learning of her ex-boyfriend’s engagement, Eva discovers her foundation is weaker than her façade. So begins a clumsy (and occasionally uproarious) search for love as she secretly joins an online dating site, tries her hand at speed dating, and gets involved with one of the regulars at her coffee shop, The Grounds.

What make a book stand out for me…? I don’t like to see a book with a face on the cover. Especially romance books or Young adult books because it is easier for me to imagine the attractive character then it is to forget an unattractive face a book cover. I like a little drama, a little romance, and a little chaos with a great story and Elisa Lorello covers all that for me. Her books are realistic. You can actually apply the situation to your personal life. I have over 500 audio books and about 150 paperbacks that I have read and listen to within the past 3 years. And what I’ve noticed about all my books is that there aren’t many that stand out. When an Author writes a certain genre they have also read similar books. At times it feels like they rewrote a popular book by changing names of characters and ending it with a twist. Sometimes when I start a new book I have to stop to make sure I haven’t already read it. With Elisa Lorello I don’t have to guess. Her books stand out. This book stands out. This is a book that I would listen to again.

After breaking off her engagement, 30-something Andi Cutrone yields New England to her ex and flees home to Long Island. There, she devotes her time to teaching in the writing program at Brooklyn University and overanalyzing her past failed relationships. But then she meets Devin, a male escort whose client list seems to include at least half of the accomplished women she knows. He is handsome, charismatic, and absolutely out of her league, but she can’t deny he has a certain…something. And so Andi makes him a proposition: If he will teach her to shed her sexual inhibitions, she will teach him to be a writer.

I got this book on sale and probably would have never looked twice at it but after I started listen to I have to admit I truly enjoyed it. The main characters were great and the author’s style of writing is very refreshing to me. It’s a nice change from what I normally listen to. This book is about an insure woman who want to learn to feel sexy in her own skin. She’s introduced to a popular male escort who teaches her to let lose. There is a lot more to this story that I can’t tell without giving everything away. I think this book was great and I would listen to it again.

But her insight failed her when she didn't foresee the death of one of her clients - or that the lead investigator for the case is the gorgeous blind date she just met. Now, with the police suspicious of her abilities and a killer on the loose, Abby's future looks more uncertain than ever.

THIS IS A GOOD READ/LISTEN. I LIKE THE CHARACTORS AND THE STORYLINE BUT I DIDNT REALLY CARE FOR THE NARRATOR. THERE ARE A LOT OF MOMENTS IN THE BOOK WHERE I COULDNT TELL WHICH CHARACTOR THE NARRATOR WAS PLAYING. ONE MOMENT THE MALE CHARACTOR HAS A DEEP VOICE AND THE NEXT SECOND IT WAS GONE. IT KIND OF ANNOYED ME

That is, if she makes it through the Change - and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no ordinary fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampire Goddess Nyx.

A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice.

Tovah Connelly would rather be asleep than awake. Since her accident, she's become a shaper in the dream world, the Ephemeros, where she can manipulate places and people with just a thought. Tovah's friends there, Ben and Spider, encourage Tovah to develop her skills, but the one ability she doesn't want is to control the dreams of others, it's a power she's wary of, and a responsibility she's not ready for.

Out of all the Megan Hart books available on audible this one is absolutely the worse. I felt it was seriously lacking something. I liked the whole control your dreams concept but not how the author went about it. And I found the ending to be really disappointing. The way the author ended the book was different from her usual happy endings. The only thing I really liked about this book was the narrator and I don’t plan on listening to it again.

This is what happened: I met him at the candy store. He turned and smiled at me and I was surprised enough to smile back. This was not a children's candy store, mind you, this was the kind of place you went to buy expensive imported chocolate truffles for your boss' wife because you felt guilty for having sex with him when you were both at a conference in Milwaukee.
