"Outstanding Wordcraft"
Andrew Mulcare does a superb narration. Every word is clear and concise and delivered in a very receivable manner .
This book will please anyone with an interest in modern physics or consciousness.
Andrew Mulcare delivers his narrations in a manner that is never tiring and easily ' easy-to-follow ,While driving or walking.
The place of conscious observation in modern physics. What does meditation have to add to be careful contemplation of physics .Samuel Avery has well thought out, reasoned the issues of quantum mechanics and relativity theory and has applied it to meditation experience, to propose a new mythology.. .
I would like to meet Sam Avery, and talk to him more about his books I've read or listen to several of his audiobooks and have watched a presentation on the Internet.I wonder if he has read Guilio Tononi's recent book , Phi ? The integration of information to the highest level but no higher ( Phi) is discussed or paraphrased in Avery's booksThe Being or the observer in us all is the mythology waiting for a scientific theory. Tononi thinks that it's all contained in the cranium.
"Tour de force in writing and narration"
I have been interested in consciousness theory for some time. This book is perhaps the best I have read or heard of this type, Werner R Loewenstein clearly explains the genesis and evolution of the nervous system. he also, gives up-to-date detailed discussions of the of the answer to the simple problem of consciousness that is where in the brain is it located. He is an artistic and skillful writer, and gives the best explanation that I have read as to why we evolved to be conscious. As to the difficult problem of consciousness; how we are aware, creative, and artistic; he remains strictly objective and scientific. He views the human brain has basically a exquisite computer, but leaves open the possibility that quantum computing, just like quantum sensing, may open new possibilities for explanation.
Walter Dixons narration is excellent, and could not be improved upon. I like the book in audible form so much that I bought a visual version so that I can see the illustrations and review the references.
"Elegant explanation, elegant narration"
I have a science background, but I'm neither a physicist nor am I a mathematician. Brian Greene has a gift for clear easy-to-understand explanations of both physical principles and the complex mathematics of string theory. I have previously read this book and two others that he has written. Eric Davies reads with clarity and just the right emphasis to promote understanding.
