Lot's of pain -- for the hapless Jason Bourne and unfortunately for the listener as well. This is not real Ludlum. It's so predictable you could listen to the first and last chapters and have it all. I'm sorry I wasted my time with this leaden bomb.
Reminds me of the summer picnics where political candidates really had to orate to keep the attention of people who were more out to socialize and eat than listen. Zell is off the wall but he does keep your attention.
I fell asleep several times listening to "Prey." The plot and characters are predictable. The only interesting aspect was the use of nano technology running amuck.
This is a good thriller but perhaps one better read than listened to. You have to pay close attention to the characters as they appear and disappear. It's not so dense that you can't pick up the thread after a little doze. I agree with the reviewer about the narrator. All the characters sound the same.
