Mindy Kaling has lived many lives: the obedient child of immigrant professionals, a timid chubster afraid of her own bike, a Ben Affleck–impersonating Off-Broadway performer and playwright, and, finally, a comedy writer and actress prone to starting fights with her friends and coworkers with the sentence “Can I just say one last thing about this, and then I swear I’ll shut up about it?”

If you are a fan of the show The Office, you'll love this book, it has the same sort of sensibility since Mindy is involved with both. She is a very funny lady. Mindy lets her "nerd flag fly" and shows that this is the way to having a life you enjoy - being yourself, doing what you love and not worrying about the rest (what other people think).

A teen idol at 15, an international icon and founder of the Brat Pack at 20, and one of Hollywood's top stars to this day, Rob Lowe chronicles his experiences. Never mean-spirited or salacious, Lowe delivers unexpected glimpses into his successes, disappointments, relationships, and one-of-a-kind encounters with people who shaped our world over the last 25 years. These stories are as entertaining as they are unforgettable.

I got this based on reading a magazine review, took a chance and really enjoyed it! Very interesting life story of how he went from being a kid in Ohio to living in Malibu to having wild times to being the successful actor and family man he is now. Rob reads it in a similar style & cadence to the way he plays his character on Parks & Recreation. This book made a long road trip fly by!
