Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert. But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shape-shifters called skinwalkers.

Many times series books get weaker as the story goes on, if the author hasn't thought it all out and figured out where its going, not so with this series. Once again, the author and narrator team takes the stories to another level. There is nothing worse than having a good story ruined by having it read by a sub-par narrator.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris has won numerous awards for her Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire series, which has been adapted into the hit HBO show True Blood. In this 13th and final book, a murder rocks the town of Bon Temps and Sookie is arrested for the crime. After making bail, she sets out to clear her name - but her investigation only leads to more deaths.

Some readers appeared to have not liked the last three or four book. i I dont agree. I found the entire series great fun. I do admit that I bought the first one as a sale book but I was hooked then. I thoroughly enjoy Ms Harris's books and Ms Parker brings Sookie to life! Thank you both for many hours of mystery and romance.

Mark Tufo is a master of sarcasm and dry wit. How he comes up with his statements are beyond me, but they are so funny, people look at me at the gym when I laugh out loud at his comments. Sean Runnette is a great reader, I can actually picture the characters by their "voices". His range and ability is fantastic.

I love books that run in series, ie. Sookie Stackhouse, Nice Girls Don's,.., etc, but this author writes books that are read in 5 hours and charges more than any other series. This is the reason I stopped listening to her books. She hasn't got near the talent of Charlaine Harris or Molly Harper. I rated the performance high because I like the narrator, and I gae the story and overall 2 because, the story line is good escapism, but, I don't like being taken advantage of or having the characters held hostage by the author.

Being dead sucks. Make that being undead sucks. Literally. Just ask Thomas C. Flood. Waking up after a fantastic night unlike anything he's ever experienced, he discovers that his girlfriend, Jody, the woman of his dreams, is a vampire. And surprise! Now he's one, too.

This series is fun to listen to, not as fun for me as Molly Harper where wolves or vampires or Charlaine Harris's Sookie series, but fun. I just really like the characters name Abby Normal, it reminds me of Young Frankenstein. The other characters have more normal names and the authors other characters interact well. The narrator does a good job, whic for audio books if very important.

In the second book of John Christopher's classic series, Will Parker and his cohorts have spent a year living among the free men in the White Mountains. The Resistance charges them, now wearing realistic yet harmless caps, to infiltrate a Tripod city by competing in a sporting exhibition called "the Games" (very similar in nature to the Summer Olympics), in which the winners of the events are to be offered to the Tripods for service.

In the first book of John Christopher's classic series, it is the year 2100, and the world is controlled by the machines called Tripods. Life goes on largely as it had in the pre-industrial era, as all of humanity is subject to mental controls which prevent anyone from challenging the established order.

As with City of Gold and Lead and Pool of Fire, John Christopher explains in the intro, how and why this series came about. He accomplished his goal, I think, in making a book that preteens would like and actually turned it into a trilogy that was entertaining and introduced adult themes such as freedom, politics, and others to young people so they can understand and form their own opinions.
