  • Icons of Evolution: Science or Myth? Why Much of What We Teach About Evolution Is Wrong

Everything you were taught about evolution is wrong. In this shocking book, Berkeley-educated doctor of biology Jonathan Wells lets you in on scientific discoveries you won't learn about from college and high-school textbooks - and reveals a dirty little secret known only to some of his fellow biologists.

This is an excellent book and definitely worth a listen to anyone who is interested in the Evolution contraversy.

Jonathan's clear and logical presentation with strong scientific evidence helped me see this issue in a much clearer light.
I emerged feeling disgusted that I was deceived by the school system and others are being deceived today. The scientific evidence supporting Darwinian/Macro evolution is deceptive at best and downright fraudulent at worst. The evolutionists attempts to prove that our great ...great grandfather was a self replicating molecule have met with disaster time and time again. Instead of acknowledging this truth they cover it up using more tricks than politicians,

This should be mandaroty listening for all evolutionary students and educators so that we bring back scientific rigor into the classroom.
Full application of the scientific method as opposed to the half truths and exagerations being peddaled with the mantra of "mountains of evidence prooving evolution". Jonathan scrutinizes the key evidences (icons) in this book - and it becomes clear that the mantra is hollow and devoid of scientific substance.

    I strongly recommend this book

When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they weren’t expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed—a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary, detailing their little boy’s trip to heaven and back.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was interesting, engaging and also very heartwarming.

It will be heard to swallow for some people but the book is honest and does not seem exagerated or contrived - for this I was very greatfull.

It was also highly encouraging in that it produces hope and greater confidence that Jesus is real and waiting on the other side.

    I highly recommend this book

    Informative

A bid disturbing that these assasination squads roam the planet. If they ever get out of control we are in serious trouble. I can see a need for them but I also shudder at the thought of some crazy man gaining control of them

More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

The content and format and presentation of this book is excellent.
It was very easy to listen too
It had lots of usefull bits of highly interesting information about Kenedy etc.

The ONLY signficant shortcoming is that he tows the official line of having Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone gunman. He does not explain any of the contradicting evidence such as Kenedies head lunging backwards when the bullet was meant to have come from there or other anomalies. Apart from this weakness I thoroughly enjoyed and learnt much by listening to it.

In these classic essays, which began as talks on the BBC during World War II, Lewis creatively and simply explains the basic tenets of Christianity. Taken from the core section of Mere Christianity, this book provides an accessible way for people to discover these timeless truths. For those looking to remind themselves of what they hold true, or those looking for a snapshot of Christianity, this book is a wonderful introduction to the faith.

This scientific writing, which was considered to be the groundwork of evolutionary biology, presented the theory that species developed over a line of originations through a method of natural selection. It imparted evidence that the variety of life resulted from a common descent via a branching model of evolution.

I am highly interested in the Evolution topic and got this book to find the solid evidence behind Evolution. I as significantly disapointed.

I found it really really boring, it was a strugle to go through but I persevered.
The ""mountains of evidence" for Macro evolution that I was hoping to find was not there that I could figure out. I went through it a second time, but still I waded through tons of irrelevant detail but no real tangible evidence to prove the key Evolution assertion that our great ..... great grandfather was a self replicating molecule.

This book has significant historical significance - but I will stuffed if I can see why.

Frankly I am amazed how such a lame book has had the influence that it has.

In this book, dedicated by its author to the "Youth of the Land", is the inspiring story of Martin Luther, who was born to poverty in 1483, who was beaten in school on a regular basis, but who rose above his circumstances to change the course of history.

I enjoyed listening to this book and learnt much from it but I emerged with a desire to have more detail and breadth.

It was worth the listen but its 2 and bit hours was inadequate for the task.
A greater elaboration of how Luther impacted the prevailing culture and why would have made the book much more satisfying for me.
