I wasn't sure what to expect with this free download. It is an introduction to the Millionaire MBA series, and well worth the listen. I think it demonstrates that we are all just an inspiration away from creating the life of our dreams, and the importance of staying aware for those clues to success. I've not subscribed to the Millionaire MBA series, but will try at least one. I really enjoy the perspective this takes from a Brit's point of view, rather than an American's.

Although not a purely inspirational work, this gem is packed with all the hints and keys to becoming remarkably successful. It is a roadmap written by two men who have created remarkably successful lives and want to share what they have learned. Their goal of creating 1 million millionaires reflects their altruism and generosity.

The novella in Part 2 is a little cheesy (OK, ALOT cheesy!) and not a great work of fiction, but it is effective in building on the concepts in Part 1. Keep an open mind and listen for the concepts and how they can apply to your personal situation. You never know where a great idea might get its spark!

I recommend this to anyone with an interest in wealth building from a level of highest integrity.

At first this book was promising; interesting story line and some good prose. The development of the protagonist as an aide to Death implied some genuine insights into relationships, loss and redemption. It's degeneration into monster ravens, squirrel-people, huge caverns under the streets of San Francisco and abandonment of moral standards of any kind left me wishing the book would end. Just too bizarre for my taste.

Highly recommended. I was mesmerized as much by the author's account of his own extreme wilderness climbs as by Chris McCandless' journey of self-discovery. If you do buy this, listen again (and again) to Chris' letter to the old man who befriended and wanted to adopt him. It is a challenge to us all to forego the comfort and safety of ordinary lives and seek instead the raw experience of life without boundaries. His extremism cost him his life, but his legacy is a reminder to live each day, not merely exist.

Although encouraged by many positive reviews, I was disappointed. The plot plods, and the characters are barely two-dimensional. I stopped listening when the narrative of the brutal rape of a sixteen year old girl crossed the line from compassionate to pornographic.

Immensely entertaining. Koontz has great style and prose, Baker's delivery is gentle but well modulated, with each character given the right amount of distinction. Expect both smiles and tears, and a few goose-bumps!
