Excellent book. I love the stories in this book. Robinson has made this book uplifting, funny and delightful. I will listen to this many times.
Just the right amount of inspiration and reality.

All of it but especially the part on "Tribes" It answered a lot of questions for me.

It was perfect. I don't think it could be better.

I did laugh. I am not a crier but it was good enough to elicit crying.

If you have guts, want to really live your life, are ready to get real- and do it- this is the right book for you.
Ken Robinson is spot on and is just a terrific person with a great heart.

Good book with some outside of the box thinking. If you have a kid with ADHD this is an inspiring listen. If you just want to learn about the author because you want to start a business it is worth your time.
If you work with people, this book can help you understand where someone else is coming from.

The narrator.

At the end when the thoughts are being conclusive- It is so insightful that I will think about this book for the rest of my life. It affects my everyday living and I NEVER expected that from this book. I thought it was just going to be an interesting book about Darwin's finches and the people who have studied them.

Not really. There is just too much information and I need to process it in more than one sitting.

Sometimes there are a few too many details and measurements, but overall this is a really good book. Maybe great, well it would be great with a few less bird details.
I like bird stuff but what was the most amazing was side stories on other animals like the white and black moths in England etc. Wow!
Our planet is wonderful and after reading this my commitment to taking good care of it is even stronger.
You can never see the world the same again if you read this. We live on a beautiful planet and this book really gives a clear view of just how wonderful it is, thanks to the hard work of a lot of very patient people.

The narrator- I've read cookbooks he could read.

Very disappointed. This is the only Steven Saylor book I have listened to but it was so difficult to make it through because of the narrating I don't think I will get another.

Some interesting thoguhts about the economy but then it gets way out there at the end. Too far for me to take seriously.

Interesting book, but at the end the author loses or perhaps I should say passes the point of disbelief. His ideas about what will happen or has to happen feel far too sci-fi.
Having a political science/legal/government back ground myself, I felt the author needed to do a bit more research on constitutional law as well as how city bonds and city governments work.
People too often don't understand how cities are chartered and this affects local economies on a far greater level than a mortgage scam or ponzi scheme. When the local economy is going or not going so does the nation.

I love Beryl Markham and love what she represents to so many people. This book offers a wonderful, but not deep look into the life she led.

There are many- the overall feel of the truth of the story is the most memorable.

Her voice carries her feelings that simply reading the book could not convey.

Excellent book. I first became aware of G. Hamilton while listening to The Splendid Table. She has such a genuine personality, accepts herself as she is and only wants the "real thing" from everyone else in return. This book, and the author, offer a realness that is not usually found because few people have the courage to share it.
