Both the story and the narration were disappointing.
Almost everything in the story was hard to believe.
Narrator's tone sounded unconcerned.
This was my first and only Hurwitz. The action seemed jumpy and I felt no connection to the characters. If you're into surveillance, you may get a kick out of the plot. I was neither intrigued by the story line nor scared by the idea of it. Perhaps it was just too deep for me.
I picked this book based on "author's choice" - an Audible page that featured new books recommended by well-known authors. The Mark lived up to the recommendation. I was on the edge to my seat through the whole read. I awoke at 5:30 today - a Saturday - to finish it. Jason Pinter has crafted an exciting thriller and Noah Plener reads it with a raspy urgency.
