I can not find the words to describe how awful this book was. It was boring and poorly written. I suffered through half of it and then gave up.

This story was decent. Nothing special. The story was a mediocre one. It was special in the beginning, but went nowhere the rest of the book. Moreoever, the narrator's voice was annoying. She sounded bored just reading it. I know this was a best-seller, but I was not impressed.

This book had a lot of hype when it came out. I was excited to order it, but I was extremely disappointed in it. It was not well written at all. Don't bother.

This was a very soothing and comfortable story to listen to. The narrator spoke slowly and smoothly and it flowed with the slowness of the author. You never came back to the story wondering if you missed something. It was clear and relaxing. I looked forward to listening each night. The only problem is that when the end of the book came, everything was just wrapped up quickly and that was disappointing.

This was a brilliant book, well written, narrated superbly. It is not the type of book a casual reader would enjoy however. The vocabulary was excellent and the pace was fast. I think I would have preferred to read this, but I was not disappointed in the listen.

I would categorize this book as a self help type listen. A friend of mine highly recommended I order it because of the philosphy of the writer. The story itself was very poorly written and amaturish. The writer would tell a story and then explain the point, as though you are a child. The philosphy itself was eye-opening and very helpful to me. If you are interested to know his philosphy and you are in the mood to extract this from this listen, it would be worth your while to order.

I can not tell you how boring this book was. I listened to it as long as I could, at least three quarters way through before I put it down. It never hooked me. I had to force myself to listen. I was more than patient. Characters were developed and then they went nowhere with it. It was a big disappointment and a waste of time.

This was a really good listen. The reader was smooth and a pleasure to listen to. The story was good and well written. I looked forward to listening whenever I had a chance. I recommend this book.

I realize that Zadie Smith is an award winner and that is why I order this book. I was very disappointed in it, however. It read like a soap opera. It was long, drawn out, boring and finally after all the listening, it went nowhere. There was nothing profound and it was not especially written well. I don't know why this was so popular, but I would not recommend it.

This was a well written story and an easy listen. The story was interesting and I enjoyed it. The narrator was good as well.

The Publisher's Summary and a recommendation from a friend is the reason I downloaded this book. I like these type of self-help books. The narrator was good but that is the only positive thing I can say about this listen. The author wrote as if addressing ignorant, child-like readers. The serene tone droned on and on and whatever point she made, she overly explained. I had no patience for it and gave it up midway. I would not recommend the purchase of this book.
