Law professor Natalie Greco has an ordered life. Then, one terrible day, everything changes. While visiting a prison, a riot erupts and a prison guard is fatally injured. Nat rushes to help him, only to hear his last words: "Tell my wife. It's under the floor. The money." Nat feels she must find his widow. But this is no simple quest, and along the way, Nat is framed for murder and the retiring scholar finds herself in a desperate fight to save her own life.

The story was decent enough but I could not stand the narrator. Her character portrayals were annoying to no end. In one case, there is a student in her law class from Southern California. The narrator makes him sound like a stony loser from So Cal. Very cliche. This was one of many examples. And Nat's brother...ANNOYING!

Oliver Stone and the Camel Club are back in their most dangerous adventure yet, a war on two fronts. Casino king Jerry Bagger from The Collectors is hunting Annabelle Conroy, who conned him out of millions. Stone and his colleagues Reuben, Milton, and Caleb marshal all their resources to protect Annabelle. Yet all their skills may not be enough when a deadly new opponent rips off the veneer of Stone's own mysterious past.

    "3 1/2 out of 5"

I actually give this book a 3.5 out of 5 because of the dialogue. In the early part of the book, I almost sacked it because I thought the dialogue was kind of cheesy and contrived. I eventually kind of got over it and it turned out pretty decent. I say I "kind of got over it" because, obviously from this review, I never "really" got over it. Again, it was a good book as long as you can get by some of the dialogue.
