The Nameless Detective is called upon to find out how rare books and maps are being stolen from an antiquarian bookshop with a faultless alarm system. He goes undercover in the store, only to be foiled when a theft occurs right under his nose. Then, as he ponders the case (while on a date with the lovely Kerry), he’s violently struck from behind by a car that seems bent on driving him off the road. Will Nameless survive this attempt on his life and solve the case?

Where does The Booktaker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is an interesting, quick read that really held my interest.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Booktaker?

I read a lot of police procedurals and this one made me concentrate and think. I liked the end a lot. Ended with action and wit.

What about Nick Sullivan’s performance did you like?

He has a great voice. Many sale books have mediocre narrators but Mr. Sullivan was very easy on the ears.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! It was the best short story or novella that I have listened to in a long time.

    Any additional comments?

I will gladly listen to this author again.

Janis Ian was catapulted into the spotlight in 1966 at the age of 15, when her soul-wrenching song "Society's Child" became a hit. But this was only the beginning of a long and illustrious career. In Society's Child, Janis Ian provides a relentlessly honest account of the successes and failures - and the hopes and dreams - of an extraordinary life.

Would you listen to Society's Child again? Why?

I'm sure that I will read this over many times over the years. The story has tremendous impact and is a psychological roller coaster.

What did you like best about this story?

She tells it like it is, the good, the bad and the ugly. She also includes insight as to how she developed her songs. She also sings verses of some of her hits. You get it all !!!

Which character – as performed by Janis Ian – was your favorite?

She has great control of her voice and is one of the best narrators I've listened to and I listen a lot.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! She was inspirational and kudos to her for writing this book.

    Any additional comments?

I hope she chooses to narrate additional books in the future

What did you love best about Cold Days?

Cold days was a dramatic improvement over the last two books. Harry shows signs of growth in his mental, psychological, and magical capabilities. I wish Karen had more to do in the book.

Have you listened to any of James Marsters’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

James masters " is Harry Dresden". I can not imagine anyone else reading this book.

What made the experience of listening to Archangel's Storm the most enjoyable?

I'm not a reader of romantic novels but the guild hunter series is great. It combines a paranormal plot with romance. Great character development and steamy sex.

The ending is beautiful and totally unexpected

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a very distinctive voice. I thought iit would be hard to tolerate however it grew on me and became a part of the story. She handled both men and women well.

Last scene when the main characters go down below the subways and meet the inhabitants.

What did you like best about Iron Crowned? What did you like least?

The best thing was the narrator. Her voice was easy to listen to but there was not much she could do to help improve the book.

What could Richelle Mead have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Maybe she shoul sell it as a young reader book instead of as an adult book. I love Richelle Meads "Succubus" series and think its a far superior series.

What three words best describe Jennifer Van Dyck’s performance?

Deep, husky easy to listen to voice.

Was Iron Crowned worth the listening time?

I don't think so, I would listen to her other series instead

    Any additional comments?

Love the genre but not this book.

Would you listen to Antony and Cleopatra again? Why?

I don't think I would only because it was very long, and complicated.

What did you like best about this story?

I am a history buff so I enjoyed the details in the book, things that are not usually entered in the shorter works.

Which character – as performed by Sneha Mathan – was your favorite?

I think she did a great job with Marc Anthony, Caesarian, and Cleopatra.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were many, otherwise I could not have finished and enjoyed this "big" book.

    Any additional comments?

If you like history and are not afraid of lots of detail you will like this book. It helps that the narrator was easy to listen to.
