Nice range of stories - some single voice and some dramatized but all well done.
Fascinating speculation. Just hope it turns out to be true?
The usual Wodehouse, i.e. wonderful?
I got this because it was a required reading for my Special Needs English class and they were having a tough time reading it on their own. It certainly did the trick and promoted lots of discussion and creative writing. I'll have to try this approach more often. It turned a painful experience for my kids into a great learning experience.
Great selection of tales. Some readers better than others but, overall, very creepy.
My son recommended this book to me and I tried to read it. I found it very confusing so got the audio version, hoping that might make it easier to follow.
It didn't. Reader did a good job but there were just so many strange people, places and relationships to follow that I just gave up.
I always liked Clinton and enjoyed the book.
However, I really wished the unabridged version was available.
Fascinating book certainly gave me a lot to think about.
This is one of the few Dickens books I had not read and it turned out to be the usual Dickens i.e. Wonderful. Well read, also.
I tired reading this but stopped because of the rather difficult syntax. However, the audio version made it much easier to understand since the reader did all the work. I thought she did a very good job.
Very creepy stories. Well done and well read.
