Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

What would have made The Cry of the Icemark better?

A different narrator would be a good start.

Would you ever listen to anything by Stuart Hill again?

I will not purchase another of this authors books.

Would you be willing to try another one of Heather O'Neil’s performances?

I would not seek her out. O'Neil's performance was irritating to me. I thought she did an awful job with the different characters. All I could hear was her accent. I was not enthralled with her.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Cry of the Icemark?

All the repeated and cliches to be removed

    Any additional comments?

If I had known that this was a young adult or tween book, I would not have gotten it. It was full of rhetoric that I did not need to learn lifes lesson.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not really worth the time. Was not the captivating. After reading the Passage books this one was boring and ordinary.

I will not be getting the last 2 books.

Suppose you could ask God the most puzzling questions about existence, and God would provide clear, understandable answers? It happened to Neale Donald Walsch. Conversations with God is Neale Donald Walsch's account of his direct conversations with God, beginning in 1992 while Walsch was immersed in a period of deep depression. He composed a letter to God in which he vented his frustrations, and much to his surprise, even shock, God answered him.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    I dont know!

What was most disappointing about Neale Donald Walsch’s story?

    The story is good.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narration of this book is what I could not listen to. I have the cassette tapes from years ago. They are much more interesting then this recording.

What character would you cut from Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue, Book 1?

    Female

    Any additional comments?

I got through 30 mins of book and am returning it! I am very disappoint in the narration!
