I hated history in school but if I had had this book I think I could learn to love history. This was real life, in the raw and the people and their courage and their giving and their sorrows. I have listened to this book several times and have come away with a better awareness of today each time. I highly recommend it. I thank Flory for giving us her story.
I have listented to this book several times and found it to be as interesting the fifth time as it was the first Much info was given about many different things all tied neatly up in the story line a wonderful way to get a touch of information causing me to go research the subject matter.
I highly recommend this book,
Salinger she is a real true survivor no i am strong who can help me crap
kept the mood with different folks and different situations was hardly aware it was a book but real folks doing their own things
not sure what a tag line is but this is about real people doing real things in a real life situation doubt you could put the entire book into a movie better off with a tv once a week for a few weeks to get the job done right
a very satifing read
I have seen, read and listened to radio, movietone news regarding WWII but this book brought it home to me. A story of survivors during a time when the world went nuts. The compassion, the "living" through a truly hard time and yet having something for another person you hardly knew or did not know at all. I have listened to this book several times and come away knowing there are strong, good people in this world even now. I highly recommend this to everyone.
