"Stick to the HBO series"
It's like listening an old man tell his life story... to much crap and blabbing around the good stuff :(
"Pretty good but one very important thing lacking"
This is an great book, specially for "lukewarm" christians or people that feel that they want to take their faith to the next level.
One fundamental thing is lacking: Bible verses. Don't get me wrong, I think everything he says is very biblical, but the word of God is the one that "is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." (Heb 4:12)
So if you are writing a book to help people change their way of living and being true christians (maybe that should be the name of the book, instead of radical...what he proposes is plain old true christianity!) you may want to tell people where in the Bible can they read this ideas and and let the word do the most important job. Specially since, like I said in the beginning, this book seems more for people that don't know the Bible much in the first place.
All an all, a good read and challenging one. I would recommend it.
"Interesting but a bit redundant"
The book is worth listening to. But I doubt I would do it again, I think it was a bit longer than it needed to, specially towards the end. The background story, the science facts, the experimenting with human tissue and ethics are very interesting subjects and makes it worth the read.
"Top 10"
This book entered my top ten list of favorite books of all times. His take on the subject is easy to read, entertaining and plain old good. It's a short listen, don't miss out!
"Almost good"
I did not dislike this book but I did not love it either. The book started of pretty well but what could have being a great story turn in to some pretty plane and sometimes borings sections.
"A Favorite!"
A great story and a great way to tell it. Personally the best way to describe this book is like when you want to watch that documentary everyone is talking about but never get around to it... when you finally do, you can't stop telling your friends about it and regreat you haven't seen it sooner. It's a fun book, filled with funny moments and interesting facts, the reader is perfect as well. Don't miss it!
"One of the best ever!"
This book is extraordinary, whenever I look for a good read, I just want another book that makes me feel like this one did. The cultural aspects where so rich and interesting. The drama was engaging and the characters are so human and dreamy at the same time. This book is completely different from the movie, the movie doesn't even follow the story so if you saw it, forget about it, the world you will get in too is so much more deep, colorful and filled with different emotions.
"Vanilla"
The characters and the story has enough turns to keep you listening, the thing is that they are not that interesting, a book like this should keep you on the edge, wanting to know what will happen next. Not this book.
"Slowwwwwwwwww"
This story could have been narrated in one hour. Not a bad story, but too slow for my taste.
"Rediscovered this classic"
It takes a while to get the hang of it, but it's indeed a worthy read. I found myself crying and feeling like one of the characters. It is not for everyone though!
