With her shopping excesses in check - for now, at least - and her new career as a TV financial adviser blooming, Becky's biggest problem is getting her business-minded boyfriend Luke to take a romantic getaway. But "getaway" takes on a whole new meaning when Luke says he needs to move to New York for business - and he asks Becky to come with him! International best - selling author Sophie Kinsella's sequel to the wildly popular Confessions of a Shopaholic is non-stop fun.

Would you consider the audio edition of Shopaholic Takes Manhattan to be better than the print version?

I think the audio edition of this Shopaholic book was better than the print version. I LOVE hearing the British accent and inflection. It really helps when you're reading about quid, the loo, and pounds!

What did you like best about this story?

I love Becky's lack of realism. So many of us live our lives so seriously, and this book is truly a fun read and an escape from reality.

What about Emily Gray’s performance did you like?

I love Emily Gray. Her voice is EXACTLY how I picture Becky's voice! In some of the later books a different narrator is used and it's not the same.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    When in Rome!...or New York!

    Any additional comments?

The Shopaholic series is such a fun group of books. I enjoyed reading them and now I love listening to them on Audible! Rebecca Bloomwood's character is relatable to every 20 (or 30) something gal. She has a fun job, fun life, and loves to shop. Couple that with the high class city of New York and you've got trouble.
I know I will listen to this book over and over again!

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

What made the experience of listening to The Help the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed that there were 3-4 voices used. When the perspective of the story changed, so did the voice. This made it feel so real and very presonal.

What did you like best about this story?

The story itself is so powerful. I was not familiar with the civil rights movement, and the way people in the south used to behave toward one another. Learning about the historical perspective in the midst of this truly great story was just an added bonus.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Definitely Skeeter! She had such a sincere innocence about her. I felt like she could be a close friend of mine.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The Help is an amazing story. After listening to it for hours, I was so sad to hear it end. I found myself laughing out loud as I listened to it on the treadmill at the gym. At other times I cried as the characters talked about their personal connections, emotions, and triumphs. This story is one that should be required reading for high school, college, sociology majors, etc... It's truly a case study in human behavior.

    Any additional comments?

I had watched some of the movie, but never finished it. Then I listened to The Help on Audible. I am absolutely in love with this book. It was fun to listen to; I felt connected with the characters; the narrative was superb! I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I know I will listen to it again and again.
