    What made the experience of listening to Wards of Faerie the most enjoyable?

    The story is classic Brooks and left me wanting more. I especially enjoyed the narrator and hope she does more. Her ability to slip into different voices for different characters helped bring the story to life.


    What did you like best about this story?

    I am a fan of Terry Brooks and have read everything he has written for publication. This story has believeable characters that I came to care about and want to know more about. I'm anxious for the sequel.


    Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    This the first time that I've heard her narrate a book.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes.

    What disappointed you about The Casual Vacancy?

    Her writing is very good, but the story isn't compelling.


    Would you recommend The Casual Vacancy to your friends? Why or why not?

    NO!!! The liberal use of the F-word is not essential to the story, but very distracting.


    What about Tom Hollander’s performance did you like?

    I enjoyed the ability of his voice to change for different characters. He was very effective and believable.


    You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    I enjoyed the narrator very much.

    Who was your favorite character and why?

    Logan Tom is my favorite character. His battle with personal demons as well as the demons trying to destroy humanity is well done.


    What does Phil Gigante bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    I enjoyed having Phil Gigante be the narrator for all of the books that tell of the transition from our world to the world of Shanarra.

    Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Most definately!


    What other book might you compare Unbroken to and why?

    This is like the Old Man and the Sea meets Indiana Jones. The action is non-stop.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    There were many scenes. His overcoming his fear of the "Bird", the survival on the raft, being chased while buck naked as a child, the description of the air ship blotting out the stars and his wonder come quickly to mind.


    Any additional comments?

    Lara Hillenbrand did a wonderful job of telling a complex story in an interesting and moving way. She is a great story teller. Ed Herman brings a wonderfulmlife to an already compelling story. I couldn't stop listening to it. I highly recommend this book!
