Twenty-two years after the Second World War, a precarious balance of power maintains the peace between Great Britain and the USSR. For decades, the warlocks have been all that stand between the British Empire and the Soviet Union-- a vast domain stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the shores of the English Channel. But now each death is another blow to Britain's security.

What did you love best about The Coldest War?

One word can only describe these two books by Tregillis - brilliant. Rarely do I rate books, but I thought these two deserved it. You won't be disappointed.

What about Kevin Pariseau’s performance did you like?

Kevin Pariseau performance was very convincing and complemented Tregillis's work nicely.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The end of book 2 left me thinking for days!

Sam Cleave, reporter for a small newspaper, has seen better days. After his partner was killed during an undercover investigation, he lost his passion for work and living. But when a resident of a nearby assisted living home is tortured and murdered in a barbaric manner, he starts investigating. He is especially intrigued when a mysterious box is given to him that belonged to the dead man, but he needs help to interpret what it means.

He did an ok job considering the material he had to work with.

The Plague Forge delivers an unbeatable combination of knockout action and kick-ass characters as the secrets to the ultimate alien mystery from The Darwin Elevator and The Exodus Towers are about to be unraveled.

Where does The Plague Forge rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This trilogy ranks near the top of my favorites list.

What did you like best about this story?

Griping story with great action sequences.

Which character – as performed by Simon Vance – was your favorite?

    Prumball (sp?).

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but was too long to be listened to in one session.

    Any additional comments?

My only disappointment was the ending, if indeed it was the ending, but don't let that dissuade you from listening - its still a great story.
