"WONDERFUL BOOK!"
I am a LOVER of history fiction novels of this time period, but of late have stop reading them because they are often cookie cutter and just "drag" you along for a ride you KNOW where it is going to end up. The only reason I gave this a change is the awards that it received. I have to admit I do not know what RITA is, but plan to look up, so that I might find other novels of this magnitude.
This is BY FAR the best history fiction novel I have read in recent history (no pun intended). It was well written. It was well narrated. Its plot was wonderful. The characters are so well developed, I feel like I know them on a personal basis. The only thing it was lacking was ... NOTHING!
"Great Book and ending to a Great Series."
This is one of the best series I have read. I ties up A LOT of loose ends, but it sure leaves A LOT that are not. IT all seems that this triology is going to move to another series and least that is my hope.
"Good Book, but could be so MUCH BETTER!"
I have to say this book has much potential to be 5 Stars. It seems like the plot is very well developed. The characters are very well developed. Everything great but one thing. The "scene" transitions are sometimes AWFUL! I am not sure, if book is not good for audio version or narrator / director didn't do a good job transitioning. I think it might be a little of both. It has A LOT of characters and many different plots and subplots. In other words, it is a complicated story. However, I think if narrator / director could have done some "things" to help listener. It at times seemed like a SMOOTH transition between two different varying "scenes". (Just to be clear; that is not a good thing.) The scene changes and either I didn't catch pause or whatever OR it is all me and I was distracted. Anything is possible, but it happened in all situations I normally listened with no problems. It will not STOP me from reading rest of series, actually can not wait, but it does make it frustrating at times. I think any less of a story, would have me stop with series. I think it speaks how good a story it is that I will continue on. A lesser of a story, I would have quit a LONG time ago.
"Wonderful Book!"
I am surprised by some of the reviews. They have right to their opinion, but wonder if people started with this book. I imagine story can be understood, but you don't get SO MUCH MORE from book if you read all of series. The story was very good. The characters seemed so real and grew from book one to book three. I liked series so much, that I plan to read other stories by CE Murphy.
"Great Start to the Series!"
Looking forward to rest of series. I found Kitty's grow from the start to finish very profound. The narrator did a very good job as well. I really want to say more, but I will give a lot away. I just hope rest of series is just as good or better.
"Body Movers Good Series"
I really enjoying this series. I think the narrator does a great job. The only complaint I have, is series seems to be drawn out. I have completed 5 of the books and have book six, mostly complete. I thought six was going to be end, but looks like at least one more book, maybe even more.
"Great Sci Fi Book"
A great book with a VERY interesting plot. The narrators did a great job telling a complex story. For most of the book you don't understand what two completely different stories have to do with each other. One story is set in future, the other is about a Teenager's journey in a primitive time. I found the "journey" in finding out what two stories had to do with each other very interesting. "Pathfinder: Book I" sure set up an interesting series that I look forward to "reading".
"WONDERFUL BOOK!"
One of the better supernatural being stories written today. I am a lover of vampire / werewolf / magic beings stores and because of that I have read a lot of them. I found this one very entertaining and very enjoyable to "read". I will not call it the best, but I will definitely complete series in the VERY near future. I know others have called it a rip off of certain stories, but that can be said about a lot of stories. You probably could call almost all books published today a rip off of someone / something. A totally new idea is very rare in my opinion. I could be wrong, but if author writes about things people do not want to read, they most likely will be looking for another profession.
"Interesting Plot in a Steamy Romance novel."
I found this book very interesting. Yes it had some very steamy parts, but Liam and Katie learned a lot about themselves and how their lives were ruled by deep set feelings of abandonment. One by death of both parents and the other by father not accepting them. In the process they learned not only a lot about themselves, but how they keep others at a distance to protect themselves from more hurt.
"A good listen"
The story most likely will not go down in history as the best story every written, but found the story compelling and very entertaining. The demons are an interesting race and like everyone else there are good ones and there are bad ones. The different is that demon's have a ranking system of which not only rank the "darkness" of the demon, but the strength as well. The darker the demon, the stronger the magic. I have to be honest, I missed inconsistencies stated by another reviewer and wish the errors were stated, because I missed them. I found book very entertaining and either missed or ignored "errors".
