    I only made it through 3 hours before I couldn't take it anymore. Nothing has happened yet! I don't care about the characters, there has been only about 30 min max of development in the story... very disappointing, especially after I read the mistborn series which I loved...

    Great book, had all the right elements. Mystery, magic, good writing. It did take me a little longer than usual to get sucked in, but once I did I was hooked. I've read the rest of the books in the series and they're all just as good. As another review said, they have a Jim Butcher feel to them but by no means the same books. Can't wait for more.

    I normally love Robin Hobb books, but this is by far the worst narrator I've ever listened to. I'd only make it 3-4 sentences before I'd be spacing out. I've started and given up on this book about 10 times... She draws out her words, speaks with NO emotion, completely monotone. This is definitely a book to read not listen to.
