In alternating chapters—and in voices that are as eloquent as they are different—they narrate stories spanning more than 50 years of family history, and reflect on their journeys into two different kinds of faith.

  • Free: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

    • UNABRIDGED (15 mins)
    • By James Thurber
    • Narrated By Ben Stiller

Mild-mannered Walter Mitty is a day-dreamer who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. This well-known and beloved tale has launched its famous protagonist into the cultural lexicon, warranting his inclusion in English-language dictionaries and countless anthologies. Stiller's imaginative performance as Mitty is the perfect re-introduction to the classic character and a great preface to the upcoming film, for longtime fans and new listeners alike.

Dave says: "We Only Live Once. Or Do We?"
    "It was too short!"

Ben Stiller was a great narrator in this one, he left me wanting to listen to more. Walter Mitty reminds me of me sometimes, when life is mundane and routine, it is nice to slip into a daydream of how big we can be, achieve great things... and then be brought back to reality once again.

  • Single White Vampire: Argeneau Vampires, Book 3

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 41 mins)
    • By Lynsay Sands
    • Narrated By Jeffrey Cummings

Roundhouse Publishing editor Kate C. Leever’s first letter to her newest legacy author was intended to impress upon him the growing demand for his “vampire romances.” Though he’d expressed little to no desire for publicity, book tours or the like, it was clear that this was a writer waiting to be broken out. Correspondence with Mr. Lucern Aregeneau tended to be oddly delayed, but this time his response was quick and succinct.

Kickez says: "3rd book in the series-My favorite so far!"
What did you love best about Single White Vampire?

The part where he likes to say NO!, and the part where he had to order a condom over the telephone

What about Jeffrey Cummings’s performance did you like?

His voice and enthusiasm reading the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, I read it over a four hour bus ride from Malaysia to Singapore and was sad to put it on pause at the immigration.

    Any additional comments?

It was a fun read. I didn't notice the time go by

  • Kill Shot: An American Assassin Thriller

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 49 mins)
    • By Vince Flynn
    • Narrated By George Guidall
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard. Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes.

Elle says: "I'd listen to Guidall read the tax code, so..."
    "It was a good listen!"
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, I couldn't guess what was going to happen next.

What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brought the characters to life, and made the story exciting. I listened to this during a 4 hour bus ride, and I was not bored. In fact, when people called me on the telephone, I was annoyed because I had to put my IPod on pause!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The confrontation between Mitch Rapp and Victor in the interrogation room.
