This is what happened: I met him at the candy store. He turned and smiled at me and I was surprised enough to smile back. This was not a children's candy store, mind you, this was the kind of place you went to buy expensive imported chocolate truffles for your boss' wife because you felt guilty for having sex with him when you were both at a conference in Milwaukee.

nothing more then excerpts from Penthouse woven into a weak romance story. Of course I cant say for sure because I wont waste my time in finishing this book. I get it...she has sex but I dont need every single detail everytime.

They were women whose lives began in slavery, who weathered the Civil War, and who grappled with the contradictions of emancipation through the turbulent early years of the 20th century. Through it all, they fought to unite their family and forge success on their own terms.

I hate to be the first to leave a bad review so I will be mild. This book was so predictable. It was very well read but the story itself was average, there were too many characters to get involved with any single one.

I loved this story. It is not fast paced but winds around in a very comfortable way. I thought my dog was not very bright, this book confirms it.

My commutes seemed faster when I listened to this book....I fell asleep each time.
I am a life long Delaware resident and it was nice to listen to a book set in Delaware.

In this riveting novel of almost unbearable suspense, three fragile yet determined people become dangerously entangled in a relentlessly escalating crisis. Colonel Behrani, once a wealthy man in Iran, is now a struggling immigrant willing to bet everything he has to restore his family's dignity. Kathy Nicolo is a troubled young woman whose house is all she has left, and who refuses to let her hard-won stability slip away from her. Sheriff Lester Burdon becomes obsessed with helping her fight for justice.

I bought this download based on the reviews. The reviewers didn't let me down. I never listen to an audio book at home or in the car because I save them for the train commute but this book is a true " cant put down" book. I listened at work, at home, the car and even in the grocery store. I like the way this book makes you think about the 2 sides to every story. A truly though provoking story, I enjoyed every minute
