Award-winning author Craig Johnson's critically acclaimed debut Western mystery takes listeners to the breathtaking mountains of Wyoming for a tale of cold-blooded vengeance. Four high-school boys were given suspended sentences for raping a Cheyenne girl. Now, two of the boys have been killed, and only Sheriff Walt Longmire can keep the other two safe.

Very good narration as always by Mr Guidall. Excellent characters and well written. I kept guessing who the killer was and kept getting it wrong. Well constructed. Would definitely look for the next novel from Mr. Johnson. Flashes of McMurtry and James Lee Burke kept coming to mind.

David Wolfe's life is approaching an exhilarating peak: a successful San Francisco lawyer, he's about to get married and has been primed for a run for Congress. But when the phone rings and he hears the voice of Hana Arif, the Palestinian woman with whom he had a passionate affair in law school, he begins a completely unexpected journey. The day after Hana's call, the prime minister of Israel is assassinated by a suicide bomber - and soon Hana is accused of being the mastermind behind the murder.

It did not take long for me to figure out the not so surprising plot twist at the end. As a result, I began to lose patience with the story and felt it started to drag on a bit. The history lesson is interesting, but even that is clouded by emotion that I was not sure what was fact and what was opinion. So, I now feel I know only a little more about the middle east conflict than I did a few weeks ago. The narrator was effective and used accents well.
