Love - tolerance - wisdom!
Winter Garden by Kristen Hannah
Not that I can remember.
Probably each of them at different times - only because I feel everyone at one time or another finds themselves experiencing similar situations ( falling on either side.)
Fantastic journey! The narration was outstanding! Be prepared to travel a great fantasy. The overall experience is incomparable! Sheer enjoyment!
A story well written and told!
The many encounters with old man Jack.
When Harry was accused of stealing and he didn't give up his friend.
The book illicited both happiness and sadness.
It reminds me that our lives have a ripple effect - we don't go through this life alone - we touch many lives and they touch ours.
Yes because it is so action packed and not predictable.
All the neatly placed revelations.
Hannah - the fire park ranger.
During the fire storm - the care that Hannah took to make sure her charges were going to survive.
If you have read Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child's "Thunderhead" - you will enjoy this!
Fantastic action better than any movie! The characters are well sculpted and tangible. I would want to listen again - like I would rewatch a good movie but, alas, I have now downloaded book 2 in the series and I need to go !!!!!!!
Definitely! The suspense never ceases.
The portrayals of Gently and Justine as they interacted.
I'm afraid I needed to sleep and be part of the world I live in but - I could have easily listened all in one sitting.
Hold onto your seats - your in for a great ride!
Jeff Woodman's reading.
I didn't finish because I couldn't get into it.
His clarity and animation.
Sorry I couldn't recommend it but that's only because I had difficulty getting interested in it.
Most definitely because of Rene. It was difficult to stop listening. I felt like I was on a roller coaster and I didn't want it to stop. Excellent job by Preston & Child & Auberjonois! I will recommend it to everyone I know.
Yes I have listened to him before and his ability to keep you on the edge of your seat is without equal.
The ending was particularly touching.
The numerous famous people that the author had crossed paths with as a child and young woman before she entered the entertainment world of acting and directing.
It made me laugh and cry.
No because: The poor performance of the reader really detracts from the whole exprience.
I'm reviewing after only listening for 2hrs, so I can't say what I like best. But I felt I had to comment on how boring the reader is.
He sounds almost mechanical.
I might finish listening but right now I'm really tempted to invest in the ebook as well and enjoy "Harry Bosch" that way because at this juncture I'm too distracted by the change in readers. Harry had a voice and it's not Mr Connohie!
I'm disappointed - I expected a character and narrative on the same caliber that the Reacher series has given me. Although I'm sorry it didn't meet my expectations I listened to the entire presentation - which is not how I handle a book that doesn't meet expectations ( generally I just delete it before finishing).
Scene future listens by sampling first.
