Let me say this right now… I totally love Kellan and Kiera. I totally love the Thoughtless series.. and I have being waiting like forever for Effortless to come out so maybe my expectation were just a little bit too high.
Now. Review time.
This book picks up like right after book 2… like right after the bar wedding… in fact Kellan and Kiera are on their honeymoon. I must say, even the smex scenes in this book did not leave me gasping and covering my mouth like the other books did. I was soooo waiting for that too. The story was good… I mean it was just what you would expect for Kellan and Kiera’s relationship to evolve into. Plus I was so proud of Kiera for handling KelSex the way she did. So mature from Kiera’s previous personality. Great improvement, but I kind of wish old Kiera would have made an appearance and slapped Sextan around the bar one good time…. But she didn’t. The whole book I was waiting for that pinch in the heartstring feeling and it just didn’t come. So for me… I totally love the story…but it was like one huge epilogue for the first two books. It kind of just finalizes everything. Well I take that back… only one drama filled scene happen right at the end…but it was over and done then everything summed up nicely. If you’re a fan of this series by all means… get this book and listen and enjoy. Just don’t expect your toes to curl like it did with book 1 and 2, this will just round out the series for you.
Narration was great as usual.
Good buy if you’re a fan/ good credit if you’re just getting started.
I liked the way this story started... I am a huge Amy Lane fan...but boy this story just got boring and boring and more boring...
Narration was ok...
I must say... was dang near better than book 1... So glad this is a two book series...because I couldn't hangle another cliffhanger. This settlet thing right nicely to Stark and O's RIP relationship... Loved it! Quite smexy too...
Loved the ending...
Well worth the credit or a sale... It's pricey... but I would in fact buy this...the story was that good..
Narration, again... same as book 1 pretty good!
Ok... I didn't like this.. well I did but I didn't... There is a new guy in the story... WHY...? The ending was pretty good.. enough to keep me listening... But the whole new shift in guys and character change of the main female character kinda threw me for a loop.
Wortha sale... not a credit ...
Narration was good.
Well... maybe not cute.. but seriously good... I really enjoyed this... I hope book 2 is put on Audible soon...
I like this series a bit better than the Dewitt's Pack series by the same author. The Alpha Kings are so much better... plus they are alphas and kings!
Love the m/m romance thrown in... it actually makes the story more enjoyable.
Good narration in this one...
Good sale or buy... not that expensive... Don't waste a credit.
Wow.. this was so good. I seriously waited until book 2 came out because of all of the reviews and I am so glad I did.. this was pretty darn good.
Stark is just a good fun time...but that darn cliffhanger ending had me on pins and needles. Glad I moved right on to book 2. I must say after listening to this.. i find I totally like the competely arrogant CEO dominating men types! They are like the perfect book lovers. Stark is by far on of the best...he is up there with Grey and Cross!
Well worth a credit or sale... its a bit pricey over 10 bucks so I wouldn't buy... but yest to credit!
Narration was not actually dual... Which I loved... it was mainly read by George...with the eppy by Nobbs at the end of the book. All in all narration was pretty good too.
This was a pretty good story. Very basic in the rescue damsale in distrest storyline... but I still like it.
Worth a sale or buy... Save your credit for something with a bit more action and drama.
Narration was pretty good.
Well... I wasn't expecting that. The way this book started... I was so close to hitting the delete button on my Kindle. But I stuck with it and boy I was soooo glad I did. Right around chapter 4ish the book really picks up... but it was after party and Razer F* up big time that the book took off.
I loved the chemistry between Beth and Razor. It was really done well... after Beth move into the clubhouse... Her goody christian behavior is actually such a touching plot point in the end... OMG... I am still crying!! **Tear-drop**
But the all time best ever in the uninverse "break-up" scene still has me reeling... OMG! I was angry, sad, excited, in shock, I think comotose at one moment, and even horrified!!! It was the best, I mean the best ever break-up scene I have ever read/listen too... It was so good... I forgave the beginning of this book...just to get to that scene... AMAZING...
Narration was so-so for me... that turn into just right... Like I said...the beginning is brutal, I just didn't like it at all... and then all of a sudden, the whiney voice of Beth just worked, the gruffness of Razor's voice worked really well...the story all just came together in the end...
So worth a credit or sale... and Yes, I think even a buy... simply because of that break-up scene.
I simply LOVE LOVE LOVE Mary Calmes' books! From her paranormal m/m romance to her Warders and Matter of Time series... I just love her writing. Now we have Steven and Walter! OMGOSH!!! Blush Blush... I loved how Walter was all slick rick lawyer but totally gone for Steven.. the flightly, artistic theater director. '
I was a bit sad for both Walter and Steven going through thier issues... but the ending.. so worth it... I loved it..
Great narration.. So worth the credit or sale, I would even buy, because I am that much of a Calmes fan...
I totally love Frost's imagination. What an awesome writer.... she world build so seamlessly that you don't even realize you know all these details about this new world, until like halfway through the book. You just "know them"....
What an awesome story of Ivy and Adrian... they are both the last of two important biblical lines. One is destiny to betray the other, but yet they are drawn to each other. In order to get her kidnapped sister back, Ivy is on a mission to find the "sling-slot" David used to kill Goliath....
So interesting how Frost wraps this biblical background to the book, without actually do that. Taking the basic knowledge, that everyone knows from the bible, like the story of David, she makes things happen in the real world collide with the supernatural... it was awesome.
Of course the narration of Gilbert is a must with at Frost book... I just cannot image anyone else narrating the kookiness of Frost's characters the way Gilbert does....
Kudos!!! For awesome start to a news series and for narration...
Sidebar: ** I totally didn't think the name of this book fit it as I was listening...but right at the end, when Ivy is fighting minions...the name makes perfect sense... I get it!!!!! ** Sidebar over
Nice credit, buy or sale... A must have in any paranormal romance fan's collection.
I actually the female lead better from book 2, but this was still a good read. It seems like all of Katie Reus books are just good. One of the best shifter books I have listen to in a while.. Nice drama, action and shifter romance... the shifter book "trifecta"
Good narration... really good actually.... Good buy, credit or sale!
