Contemporary enchanting mystery
Neverwhere, in that it is set in a world close to ours, yet still separate from it.
His voice is amazing, his performance reminds me of a grandfather reading a story, while at the same time somehow sounding like he is recounting history. Amazing.
A circus in black and white
The story is not entirely chronological, which you might not notice right away when it is narrated. This is not a problem though, as the sections set
If you liked the movie Gravity, you'll like this book. It's full of well thought-out science-fiction and every step of the way the things that happen in the book feel very plausible, as if they could be happening in a few years time. On top of that, the book is funny, with tense moments, and a solid story. Well worth your time and money.
If you enjoy watching the Colbert report you'll probably enjoy listening to this audio book. However, if you're expecting something groundbreaking you'll be disappointed.
A very enjoyable listen with great narration and an awesome story, definitely recommend it for anyone.
Great conclusion to the narrative started in the previous book. I really like that almost all of the fi in the sci-fi is very plausible.
The story is great, and most of the narration is superb (with ambient sounds to set the scene, and different voice actors). For some reason not all of the story was narrated by the voice actors (instead leaving those parts to the main narrator), which is somewhat confusing, and definitely a missed opportunity.
Nevertheless, a great book, and a good performance by the narrators.
The narration is good, and to me it does add some extra flavor to the story, but I don't know that is necessarily true for everyone.
The conclusion of the series was great, I really liked the ending, which neatly ties up all the loose ends left by the earlier books.
