Interesting mix of various motivational speakers to address the subject from different perspectives. Almost anyone from the beginning of their work life to the end can benefit. You can choose to follow-up on the speaker that interests you the most.
I don't know how many times I've read the book. This was the first listen to an unabridged reading. It is still great. I'm somewhat prepared for the movie.
I was expecting another screed but from a right wing Christian perspective. After a second recommendation of the book I went ahead and listened. It was a rational, statistically based explaination of media both Christian and Secular. There is no sugar coating of shortcomings that do exist. It provides an excellent basis for critiqing statistics one hears from Christian leadership especially when they are trying to "sell" something be it a conference or a fear based call to action.
Take the test first to identify your characteristics then you can focus on the ones that describe you instead of listening to all of them and wonder which apply.
American culture does not accept that there is a spiritual component to life. Sometimes there is a generic acknowledgement. This was a reminder of the reality of that Spiritual component.
The Great Divorce is an interesting take on the human condition. The Abolition of Man was hard to keep up with. I'll need to listen to it again.
A well written and informative book. By focusing on a subject I got a clearer understanding of his position than I had from the news media even the ones that don't hate him. They must move on to the next day's sensational news. I still don't agree with some decisions but then neither does he. That is reality as opposed to the sound bites prefered by shallow minds, journalists and politicians. (While informative, it will not change the mind of anyone who hates him.)
If your understanding of Sarah Palin is based upon reporting from the "impartial" main stream media you need to hear her perspective in her own words on the events before and after her Vice Presidential candidacy. If you can't think for yourself don't bother.
The plot was interesting and writing was engaging. The book was too sexually explicit so I did not finish.
