My Sweetheart and I had been having some relationship issues that didn't have to do with us or our intimacy, but that he'd needed some emotional healing and grieving when his ex-wife of many years unexpectedly passed away. I gave him the room he needed to just 'be', and our intimacy went away while he was focused on grieving. It was all quite unexpected, but everyone has a process they have to go through sometimes.

The problem came when we were having problems getting back on track after a couple of months. He was busy blaming himself for letting me down... can you see that he internalizes things a bit too much sometimes? Fabulous man though, and well worth my patience. He just has to be completely in the right head space to make love. And he couldn't seem to find it.

So I purchased this audio book and played it in the background. We were getting back on track but I was hoping this would add the additional 'push' mentally that would help him in finding that right headspace for us again.

And boy howdy, did it ever work! We're back on track in our intimate relationship, almost like the interruption never happened. He thanked me for helping him to bridge the feelings of guilt.

Yes, we could have gotten there on our own. But truly, I just know that it did happen after I played this book. It's not a problem we'd ever had before, but now I'm keeping this book on hand, just in case!

My only issue is when it interrupts to say 'this book contains subliminal hypnosis.. blah blah.. and you should not be driving, blah blah...' Talk about a mood killer! So I just set a bookmark for after that point and that's where I started it from. Trust me, we were NOT driving a car!

Georgie, as voiced by Katherine Kellgren is delightfully full of spunk and wit. Having spent time in London, I found many of the descriptions and situations realistic. The lessons the Lady Georgiana had to learn were funny; like learning how to light a coal fire.

Personally I also found the nicknames to be rather fun, like her brother, The Earl, who they called 'Binky'.

The book was very enjoyable light reading (listening). I thought I'd figured out whodunit, but then I thought I was wrong. In the end it was learned that I had indeed been right, but I didn't mind. The story had been so much fun as I listened to the personality Katherine gave voice to. In fact, it was so much fun I'm going to go look for more by this author and with the same narrator.

The one problem I had was one night when I couldn't sleep, but didn't want to get up or wake my sweetheart sleeping peacefully next to me. So I picked up my iPad from next to the bed, inserted the earphones and started listening. There were parts that were funny enough that I had trouble not laughing out loud and waking him! I've not had that problem before, unless when listening to a book by Molly Harper.

Very recommended!

Summary: Buy this book simply for the 2nd story written by Molly Harper.

The first book by Jessica Sims is simply ridiculous. Noelle is supposed to be a 'Guardian', meaning she can banish demons and imps, etc., etc... but the way this character is written and voiced was horrible! She sounds like this weak, tiny little fluff of a woman, completely indecisive, whining, pleading.. I literally had to force myself to listen to it. By the time the story reached its end I was glad I'd listened while cleaning house. At least something worthwhile had been accomplished!

Then the second story by Molly Harper started playing, and I was hooked, once again in the world of Half Moon Hollow. If you like good entertainment with laughter, this is the book for you. It starts off with our heroine seeing vegetables singing.. and I loved it. This story alone made the book worth my purchase. I will absolutely be listening to this story again!

The third story by Katie McAllister was pleasurable, although I did think the ending was a just a bit too neat and tidy. I always wonder about the relatives left behind, things like that. I might listen to this story again some day.

Does it make anyone else crazy to always see the studly body on the front cover? Yeah, I get they're strong and ancient and powerful... yadda yadda. But I personally really do not need the eye candy that isn't close to reality. Okay, my rant is over for now..

Of the first three books, this one is my least favorite, but I still liked it and finished it all the way through. In fact, I had it playing even while washing dishes, doing laundry, etc. The only thing is hearing it over the vacuum.... I do need all the help I can get on making doing chores tolerable.

It's important to listen to all the books in order, as each one is referred to in the next one. Thea Harrison paints a picture that continues into the next book. I would like to see more of the previous books people, but at least they are mentioned or show up once in a while in the next books. It does help to have that sense of 'who' is who throughout the storyline, as well as how they connect up.

Again, my only complaint on the content of the books is too much lengthy sexuality. It was in listening to these books that I really got in touch with how annoying I find the fabulous loving with perfect bodies that goes on and on and on... how can it leave any of us satisfied with our own imperfect bodies and lovers? When I find myself fast forwarding through the sex scenes I realized how long they were, and how 'same o same o' paranormal romance books can be. That makes me sad. Are we women really that easily entertained? Are we the same women who complain at all the perfect bodies on TV that do not look like anyone we know? Where is reality going and is it healthy for our society?

If you agree, mention it in your own review. This is how change happens! We have to speak up. And please, understand I am so not a prude in any way. But if I can get irritated, I wonder about what others are thinking too. Okay, I'm putting away the soapbox now...

Good story and very entertaining, but do not listen to the sex scenes around kids. Even teenagers might get the wrong idea on realistic sexuality.

What an imagination Thea Harrison has! And I do so enjoy Sophie Eastlake as the narrator. I find her very easy to listen to and understand.

This story was very enjoyable and surprised the heck out of me for where it went on why the vampire queen Carling is having problems with 'fading'. That was a story twist I would never have thought of! I do so love being pleasantly surprised by authors.

My pet peeve is simply too much sexual descriptions going on for ever and they're all so perfect and 'the one', etc., etc... I personally believe the media goes too far in perfection. NONE of us are perfect and we're never a perfect lover all the time, despite our best efforts. Reading stories that describe lovemaking perfection that I've rarely experienced, doesn't feel like it's helping anything, if that makes sense. It's like all the perfect bodies and teeth on TV, as it sets up the real folks for feeling dissatisfied about their real lives. I'd love to see less ultimate perfection and screaming orgasms, and more reality. Yeah, like that's going to happen. (But I think it should!) If you agree with any of this, write your own reviews and mention this too. If enough of us start saying something, maybe one author will change just a bit..

I also like how the stories in this series do intertwine. It would be nice to see more of the previous folks highlighted in each story, rather than just having a bit of a mention or showing up temporarily here and there.

This is a good series and I believe you'll enjoy it. Having the stories deal with the different races is pretty interesting, and you should read them in order.

I literally couldn't believe my ears at the beginning of the book. Talk about grossness! Our poor heroine, Dulcie, had been turned into a big green frog kind of thing and nasty stuff was dripping everywhere. Not what I had expected, but I was amused! Okay, and repulsed a bit too.. which was probably the idea.

Another reviewer stated that this author is new, and that would explain a lot. The story is solid and entertaining, no doubt about it, but there were a few times I thought it a bit jerky - or the 'flow' just felt a bit off. Nothing I can pinpoint exactly. This is where having a book in print might make it easier to review.

The story is enjoyable with a new spin on fairies and magical law enforcement. The way she shakes fairy dust into her palm, but has a problem when her palm is injured ... well, that was a priceless imagination at work, in my opinion.

This is a story I'd recommend, despite a few parts that had too much gore in the description of a crime scene for my taste. But I'm a wuss, so that's pretty normal. I am thinking of purchasing the next book just to see where the story goes.

Don't get me wrong. I like sex! Really! But I do find that reading a book in my hand is very different than listening to a book. When I'm listening to it, I find myself getting irritated with the long sex scenes, where she's so perfect and he's all that and more.. I keep finding myself fast forwarding through them. Which was a bit dangerous once when driving, so I rapidly returned my focus to the road and not on the iPad screen. The darn screen had turned off, so I couldn't just push forward on the Audible app... anyway, back to the review.

This story was enjoyable and kept me well entertained. But when she kept talking about 'saving her niece from the power', that just seemed like an excuse to take it for herself. Yeah, she was the good person in the story, but still, it just caught my attention.

I did like how the demon 'thinned his essence and drifted down' in an effort to avoid the wards on the bad guys house. The way Thea Harrison's mind works is really interesting in how she can picture all the different skills and abilities. Bringing the Oracle in as a person to potentially help heal demons was also an interesting twist to the story - don't worry, I'm not giving much away in that statement.

The stories are good and great escapism, but not with kids in listening distance during the sex scenes.

This story was enjoyable. Luckily I had listened to another story located on Harmony, otherwise I might have been a bit lost at times. The lingo and story seemed to assume some knowledge. Otherwise I think the story did stand find mostly on it's own.

The fuzz ball pet cracked me up. I wish the fuzz balls in the corners of my house were so helpful in being a protector!

Personally, I was a bit turned off by the cover artwork and almost did not purchase this book. It might have been on sale, I'm not sure, but obviously I did look past the cover and found a pretty good story. Not one I'm in love with. In fact, while I was entertained during the story, I do not feel much interest in buying more books by this author, despite her obvious cleverness in creating such a unique world.

Honestly, I couldn't finish the book, not even the first half. I tried. Truly. But for me, a self-identified wuss, it was just too dark. There are parts that talk of child molestation in the past, then being turned into a werewolf against her will, then grisly murders ... and I couldn't do it. Of course, I also cannot watch CSI or scary movies, as I carry the story with me for a few days.

I finally stopped reading the book when I realized I was afraid of turning it back on, especially at night while driving home in the dark. That's when the realization struck that for me, a story is simply not enjoyable when there is a darker story line. I simply empathize too much with the character and her pain.

Which DOES say a lot for the writing skill of the author! I did not find the book poorly written. Not at all. It was just too much for me.

What a great read these stories by Molly Harper are! My boyfriend has heard me laugh out loud when listening (on my iPad during a bath) and now he wants to listen to them too. Rarely do I get such pleasure from one author's writings, but Molly's sense of humor gets my funny bone every single time.

This particular story was a bit unusual in that the vampire was injured and not doing so great. Other vampire books have them be all super-powers and stuff. It was pretty funny when she fell over his body and smacked her face on the floor - I mean, not that she did it, but that Molly would write a scene that would happen to ME. I would totally fall flat on my face, no doubt about it! I would then probably scream like crazy too.

Pet peeve - it did bug me that there were two clear foot prints in the pollen on the front porch in front of the window... but did anyone raise a fuss or mention it? If that had been MY house, I'd have had spy cams set up and facing the windows, that's for sure!

I highly recommend Molly Harper's books if you love a good laugh. They can get pretty steamy, so I wouldn't recommend them around kids. For me, the steamier parts aren't really necessary and I have been known to fast forward through them as they're not a great help on staying focused on washing dishes (using my iPad and a speaker so I stay entertained while cleaning).
