"Not my favorite of the series"
This was actually my least favorite of the Mercy books. I was so looking forward to it too. It took a long time for the story to build to any action, and then it was just over. I missed the interaction of the main characters with the rest of the pack, and the wedding was over before it even began. The chemistry between Mercy and Adam didn't seem to be there as much. I actually just wanted it to be over and hope the next is much much better. :(
"If you liked book one, book two is worth a credit"
The plot was overly complicated and drawn out a bit, but still enjoyable. I just felt like towards the end I wanted it to hurry up and be over. A lot of the plot was predictable. This is kind of a second rate Darynda Jones book as the story lines are sooo similar. But Darynda Jones does a better job. (see Death and the Girl Next Door)
That being said, I still thought it was a good read and worth a credit, especially if you enjoyed book one.
The narrator definetely makes this story a great listen. She is one of my favorites!
"Fantastic! Can't wait for the next book!"
Darynda Jones is by far one of my favorite authors and this book exceeded my expectations.
I love the dynamic between Cameron and Jared.
I love everything abut Lorelei King's performance! I don't know how she has time to voice so many of my favorite books, but I am very glad she does!
I laughed out loud quite a few times.
The only bad part about the book was that it ended. I am really looking forward to the next one and I don't know if I can wait until OCTOBER! :(
"New take on paranormal for Young Adult"
Angels, Demons & Grays
When the main characters finally kissed, and the repercussions of that.
I LOVE Amanda Ronconi! She could read the phone book and make is sound great!
I did look forward to getting back to the story.
The ending was a little abrupt and obviously continues on in another book, but it would have been nice to get a little more in this first book.
"New and interesting take on the paranormal!"
This book was a wonderful new view on the paranormal. I loved how the author wove back and forth between the past and present, giving us bits and pieces of the main character's background. Very well done.
I found the relationship between the main character and the two men in her life intriguing and I look forward to seeing how it progresses.
It took me a couple of chapters to get used to the reader, but she really made the characters come alive, and now I can't imagine it being read by anyone else.
I couldn't wait to get back to it each day!
"Way too much "romance""
I am surprised this isn't listed under erotica! Once you get past the sex scene that lasts SIX CHAPTERS, (I kid you not) the story isn't too bad. Bbut seriously, six chapters? Way too much for me.
"Just a little too strange for my tastes"
While the narrator was wonderful and the writer talented, I just couldn't get into the characters in this book. I felt that the differences/similarities between the dimensions were not different enough in some cases, but the things that were very different just seemed odd. I just found myself not really caring what happened to the main character and felt she made really bad choices.
"Interesting storyline, needs a better narrator"
I agree with past reviews that this story started out very slowly. A bit too much descriptive writing about the scenery and not enough about the characters, but it does pick up midway through the book. The narrator was very hard to get used to. She has a very wispy voice and every sentence just trails off..... Once the story started to pick up I was able to get past the voice, but I am not sure if I will go to the next book in the series if it is the same reader.
"Love love LOVED it!"
I wasn't sure if I would like this because it is for the junior set, but this was a great story line and I cannot wait for the next book! The writing was fantastic and the narration was great.
"Just gets better and better..."
I can't tell you how many times I laughed out loud while listening to this latest installment of the Charley Davidson series! The humor, the chemistry between Charley and Reyes...steaming hot, and a great plot makes this the best so far! Just like the previous books, I can not wait for book 5!
My only frustration is that Charley seems to be really dense when it comes to what she is capable of, and that doesn't really fit with her character overall.
"Witty writing and tons of fun!"
I think Molly Harper is one of the wittiest authors I have ever read, and she does not disappoint in this installment of the Half-Moon Hollow crew! My only wish is that she could write faster so we would have more new books to read!! lol :)
