In his final hours in the Oval Office, the outgoing President grants a controversial last-minute pardon to Joel Backman, a notorious Washington power broker who has spent the last six years hidden away in a federal prison. What no one knows is that the President issues the pardon only after receiving enormous pressure from the CIA. It seems Backman, in his power broker heyday, may have obtained secrets that compromise the world's most sophisticated satellite surveillance system.

Where does The Broker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was my 2nd audiobook, it was shorter then the first, and took a little time to get to the action. It was a good book non the less.

What did you like best about this story?

It was suspenseful, and had me looking over my shoulder thinking out loud "Don't open the door"..

What does Dennis Boutsikaris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This is my 2nd book with Dennis Boutsikaris, great narrator and part of the reason I chose this book. He does an outstanding performance, and continues to peak my interest in audiobooks.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Towards the end of the book, the time the "Broker" spent with his family.

The incomparable master of the legal thriller takes us deeper into the labyrinth that is the American justice system, always drawing us in with an irresistible hook, pulling the thread of tension tighter and tighter, and then knocking us out with a conclusion that's never "by the book". Maybe that's why, after more than 20 years of consecutive number-one New York Times best sellers, a new novel by America's favorite storyteller is still a major publishing event.

If you could sum up The Litigators in three words, what would they be?

    Great Story!

What did you like best about this story?

It was a feel good book, and I love the action of the story.

What does Dennis Boutsikaris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Dennis Boutsikaris in my opinion brought the book alive, he kept my attention. He was able to express excitement, was able to actually paint a picture of the characters and through out the novel could be very animated or serious at any given time. He made the novel. With his impressions of the characters, I found myself laughing out loud, sitting forward in my seat during suspenseful periods and wanting to finish off the novel no matter what. Great narrator. Thank you

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The novel made me laugh, made me happy, sad all of the ups and downs of a great novel.

    Any additional comments?

I have never listened to a audio book before, this was a first. I listened on my Samsung Galaxy S3, and Dennis Boutsikaris helped to insure that I will continue to listen too more audio books. I've already told friends about it, and about the narrator.
