One of the best listens I have had, terrific concept, excellent reader, really engaging. I have listened to a couple of hundred books in my car and this is one of the few to really distract me. Thoroughly enjoyed, pity there is limited books by the author here on Audible

    "Great book ruined by narrator"

Why change narrator again, Nigel Planer is what this book needs. This narrator, whispers then booms, has no comedic timing, totally unstisfactory

Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. They were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry was thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future.

Previuos 2 discworlds are fantastic, this loses all the fun, characters are new, very flat. Not sure if it is the story or the new narrator, I suspect the latter

Fight Club, Chuck Palahniuk's controversial and blazingly original debut novel, introduced a fresh and even renegade talent to American fiction, one who has retooled the classic black humor of Terry Southern and Kurt Vonnegut for the lunacy of the millennial age. In this novel, Choke, he gives listeners a vision of life and love and sex and mortality that is both chillingly brilliant and teeth-rattlingly funny.

glamazon says: "Oh please, not another abridged!!!"
    "Very Poor"
    Overall

Great concept let down by what appeared to me to be little research into real life (dementia and illneses), too much "playboy script"
