I was disappointed in the narration and felt the book was redundant. I learned nothing new here.
David Pittu narrated this book beautifully. I can't imagine getting the same impact from reading about the complex characters in story. He depicted the voices and accents beautifully.
There are many memorable moments in The Goldfinch. One, in particular, was the monologue inside Theo's head as he is sitting across from Pippa over dinner. This was particularly poignant.
My favorite scene is probably what happened in the museum. The writing was so spectacular that I felt as though I were experiencing it.
A young boy's grief is transferred to an obsession over the last painting he and his mother viewed in a museum.
This book is beautifully written. It is its' own work of art.
I loved that the author states from the beginning of the book that it is based on fact. With all the conspiracy theories out there, it was great to hear facts without judgment.
My favorite character would have to be Jacqueline Kennedy. She was so young and endured so much. During the most trying times, she was strong, stoic and classy. Her example is unforgettable.
I did not have a favorite character as performed by Bill O'Reilly. I think he did a great job narrating the book.
We all know JFK was assassinated, you decide why.
Being it was the 50th Anniversary of the death of President Kennedy, I thought this was a particularly good read.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys twists and turns in a plot. This book was a treat to read.
The narrator, Elisabeth Rodgers, was the perfect choice. Her varied voices added to the enjoyment of the book.
I think this is a very healthy and satisfying way to eat. Even if you do not follow the plan 100 percent, there is much to be learned from this great book.
The one thing I've taken away from this book is that we, as a general population, eat mostly processed foods. Basically, the foods are stripped of their original nutrition and then colors, flavors and unhealthy fats and sodium are added. We've become so used to eating this way, we've accepted diet-related illness as a fact of life.
I feel this book is worth the read. I've learned a lot from this book. Healthy choices are so much easier now.
