In his own words, real life American Gangster Frank Lucas recounts his life as the former heroin dealer and organized crime boss who ran Harlem during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Determined to break the Italian mafia’s monopoly over drug smuggling in New York, Frank cut out middlemen and began smuggling heroin into the United States directly from his source in Vietnam using the coffins of dead American soldiers.

Great book, I wish it would have had more details, the only mistake they made is letting pistone read this, after awhile you get used to him reading but. You know that one kid in class that when he reads he has no emotion in his voice and just reads everything as quick as he can? Imagine three hours of it, the movie is Defenetly nailed it, the only benefit of getting it here is there's maybe like seven recorded phone calls.

  • Heavier than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain

When Kurt Cobain died by his own hand in April 1994, it was an act of will that typified his short, angry, inspired life. Veteran music journalist Charles R. Cross fuses his intimate knowledge of the Seattle music scene with his deep compassion for his subject in this extraordinary story of artistic brilliance and the pain that extinguished it.

Richard says: "Great story - missing chapter 12"
"Not the rock god i thought he was."
    Overall

If you want to listen about an obviously mentaly ill person complaining constantly about his whole life and do heroin and blame it on medical problems then this ones for you. Kurt clearly has somekind of mental issue and needs somebody to hold his hand and tell him every 5 seconds he's important, once he was addicted to heroin it was all down hill from there for him. After listening to this I believe if Kurt would have gotten some brain drugs (the legal ones from a doctor) he would still be alive. I lost respect for Kurt after listening to this but i would recomend it to any nirvana fan. I wish they had a book about Bradley Nowell and Sublime, my musical Hero.
