I liked this Audiobook, as I have enjoyed others in the McKettrick series. They are enthralling and if you listen to them in your car, you won't want to turn it off to get out. The only thing that I didn't like was that the only African American characters in the entire series it seems, are a maid and a chauffeur. We have a come a long way past servitude.

I love Molly Harper and the narrator Amanda Ronconi. I have listened to all of the books that are available by this author and she does not disappoint. This is more chick lit than blood lust, so if you are looking for a loads of action and violence, this isn't it. It is a good tale of the main character Jane. She is hilarious with her witty and dry sense of humor. As you follow this character you come to love her quirks and the personalities of the other characters even more. I hated for the series to come to an end.

I discovered this series after listening to the Succubus books. I didn't like the narrator of this series at first but I think she got better after the first book and started to grow on me. The story, had me totally engrossed. Richelle Mead is a wonderful storyteller. Eugenie had me on an emotional roller coaster. One minute I love her, the next I hate her. She quite possibly has the worst judgement ever when it comes to men but I couldn't stop listening. By now, I have fallen in love with Dorian and his sense of humor. I haven't liked Kiyo since book one and I can't wait to see what Eugenie decides to do about the mess she has gotten herself into.

I listened to Sleeping with Strangers and Waking with Enemies consecutively. I must say that I loved these first two books of the series. The story was very well written and Dickey has left enough mystery to the the main character, Gideon, to make you eager to learn more in another installment. The narrator did a great job and his tone was just right for the dark subject matter. The sex scenes in the story were very hot and though they may not appeal to men, I think women will dig them and find Gideon super dangerously sexy. I was so caught up in the story that I was sad when it ended and equally chomping at the bit for the next installment.

After getting about an hour into this audiobook, I got fed up to the constant portrayal of negative stereotypes of African Americans in the story. Maybe be author was trying to show the perspective of upper class White Americans by doing this but I did not feel that it added anything to the story. At one point one of the character described a group of Black children as animals, this came after someone was robbed by a Black man and another was wrongfully accused of pick pocketing. I just couldn't take anymore. Even if you aren't offended by the racial references, you will soon tire of the constant name dropping of Hollywood stars that reads more like one of those magazines near the grocery store checkout counter.

This audio book was really a good listen. The story was captivating and the author did a good job developing the characters. The narrator did a good job with the voices. I actually listened to this one twice.
