"Surprisingly good"
Good self-deprecating, only moderately geeky main character was easy to like. Every time he did something ... or didn't do something , that could have lead to a hole in the plot, there was an "Oh yeah.." moment that brought things back to a logical conclusion. I'm also reading the Besty Vampire queen series, and they are similar in comic flavor.
I say it's surprisingly good, because I only bought it for the low price tag.
"This one surprised me"
I got this book for free, and held off listening to it. Finally listened to it when I ran out of credits, and didn't want to pay $20 for another book. Surprise, surprise! I really enjoyed it. I'm not usually one for romance novels, but this one was really entertaining. Glad I listened!
"Amature writing"
I am about as positive as they get when it comes to fantasy fiction, but this book felt like it was written by a 15 year old. That and they never adequately address the reasoning behind the "switch". If they had killed the other kid or dumped him off someplace, THAT might have been mildly believable.
To the readers credit, she kept me listening, and continually hoping that the holes in the story would be filled. Maybe they are in future novels, but I'll never know. I'm really glad I got this on sale and didn't waste a credit on it.
no
the whiny and complacent lead one.
"Great book."
I love everything about this book. Now, the song that pops up several times in the reading.... yeah, I could do without that. Grated on my nerves.
"Facinating listen"
Fascinating subject.

For me, yes. I love to learn about what makes us tick.
Just that I wish everyone would read or listen to this one.
