This isn't your typical self-help book. The author goes into the neurology of habits as well as the psychology. What a helpful audio book! There are lots of anecdotal stories to keep a listener's interest on a long car ride, and the informational tidbits are peppered in--between the stories. This book is a positive, encouraging book, not a negative condemning one. If you have a bad habit you are having trouble breaking, I highly recommend this book. It is already helping me.
Great sound effects enhance the listening experience. It is easy to imagine Paul writing a letter when you hear the "scribbling" noises in the background. Job actually sounds ill. Multiple narrators read with the emotions the bible people were probably actually feeling. This one is a keeper!
Not a good listen for a long car ride. Hard to follow via auditory only. Thinking of returning it. Might purchase digital edition.
Informative for the newbie to American history, but not overly simplified. Narrator changes tone when reading a quote. He almost seems to be doing an "impression" of the speaker. Great listen again and again.
One of the best I've listened to. It gave me a new respect for the Pilgrims and the Puritans
A Patriot's History of the United States. The Light and the Glory was listed in the bibliography.
The faith of our fathers.
