"Good Story but feel the narrator is mis-cast"
The gritty realistic inside look of Hell's Angles of the 1960's told in the distinctive Hunter S. Thompson style.
Probably not
Scott Sowers's narration, for me, made this book difficult to listen to. Immediately prior to this audiobook I had listened to "Fear and Loathing at Rolling Stone" narrated by Phil Gigante and found his narration significantly more complimentary to Hunter S Thompson's writing style.
"Outstanding - Gets Better With Each Listen"
Yes - George Guidall's narration brings this novel alive. If you enjoyed the recent movie or Broadway show do yourself a favor and listen to the complete novel. The emotions and character development will immeasurably enhance your enjoyment of the movie/show.
Jean Val Jean for his depth and complexity.
"Excellent Book - Does Mr. Twain Proud"
An excellent book - though if you are looking for a modern day Mark Twain you may be disappointed. Mr. Clinch is an outstanding storyteller and writer but he has a less humorous undertone than the master Mark Twain. None the less this is well worth a listen/read.
